Very disappointed that Sophie halpin is not in the team but relegated to the academy, she really did well. where is Claire o brien, she has gone from first team to out of the picture
I was hoping it would be because she’s a temporary replacement player. Maddy Proud? Kelsey Browne? Madi Browne? Lots of WAs out and no replacement players yet named… could be a few opportunities out there
Replacement for Kelsey has been announced (Molly Jovic) and Madi should be back by round 1
I am guessing Halpin will be replacement for Moore until she is ready to come back. Similarly I am assuming Fraser will be Prouds replacement until she is ready which won’t be until midway through the season as they were both injured quite lateClare O’Brien has moved to Giants. As have Sophie Dwyer and Matisse Leatherbarrow. All in the Giants academy.
I understand O’Brien moving but I am really disappointed to see Letherbarow and Dwyer move over, surely one of them would have gotten a contract next year with the Swifts. It’s not like the Giants have any shooters who look like leaving any time soon.
I wonder why these young players have moved, some o whom have trained with the team or even been part of the game-day squad. They must have felt they would receive better opportunities at the Giants than Swifts, probably because GK/GD/C/GA/GS will probably remain the same for a few years at the Swifts.
Work is well underway on our new home, and it's really starting to take shape 😃 Also, we've just confirmed our Membership Prices for 2020 – check it all out below.
