I do find it odd that Swifts didn’t wish her a happy birthday via facebook or Instagram.Ian HarkinModeratorFebruary 22, 2020 at 7:22 amPost count: 3319CathParticipantFebruary 25, 2020 at 6:33 amPost count: 2

Shaun and I are extremely excited to share that we are expecting a baby girl due August 2020. Although this puts netball in the backseat and unfortunately I won’t be suiting up in the red dress with the swifts girls for 2020, this isn’t the end of my netball journey and hopefully this soon to be whale will be back on that court in the near future. Thankyou to the all the @nswswifts girls, coaches management and staff for being so incredibly supportive and I can’t wait to come watch you guys kill it this year! Excited & nervous for all the challenges ahead of us and all the joy and nappy changing this next chapter will bring! #babyjohnson 💓👶🏽 @shaun_johnson90

I think we all pretty much guessed this would happen, huh.
Player update: Kayla Johnson (nee Cullen) will take time out from @SuperNetball to welcome her first child later this year ❤️💙
Congratulations to both Kayla and her husband Shaun on this joyous news.

Wow, after signing her over some of the great upcoming youn talent, I am kind of disappointed she won’t be playing in the SSN but best of luck to her and her family. I hope she returns to the Swifts as she has made it clear she would like to return to netball, it would be nice to see what she can bring to this league, even if not a starting player.TACTIXSUPPORTERParticipantFebruary 25, 2020 at 8:28 amPost count: 234
We all saw it coming.
Great for her!
If Moore is fit for the season, surely Halpin will come in for Cullen.
Can’t find of any obvious defenders not signedNZChampionParticipantFebruary 25, 2020 at 10:44 pmPost count: 200
Definitely something in the water in Australia. 😂 Congrats to them both! It’s the circle of life. ❤️NettySuperFanParticipantFebruary 25, 2020 at 11:04 pmPost count: 99
Can someone give me some clarification on who is actually in the Swifts’ list of 10? I doesn’t seem overly clear to me, as to who is a replacement player, injuries, etc.JamesParticipantFebruary 26, 2020 at 6:17 amPost count: 51
Swifts 10 is
Wallace, Housby, Garbin
Haythornthwaite, Hadley, Proud, Cullen
Moore, Turner, Klau
I’m hoping that Craig (née Halpin) will replace CullenNettySuperFanParticipantFebruary 26, 2020 at 9:19 pmPost count: 99
Thanks, James. So does that mean Proud is going to be ready for game 1, or do they have a temporary replacement player lined up?WaylayParticipantFebruary 26, 2020 at 10:46 pmPost count: 73
No they haven’t announced a temporary replacement for Proud yet. I don’t reckon Proud will be ready by game 1, and they won’t rush her when they’ve already got Haythornthwaite in WA who is in great form. I imagine Tayla Fraser will be Proud’s replacement for the first few rounds.
