We might not exist in a few years but we aren’t on the brink of financial ruin?
Which one is it NA?!What on earth is going on? Usually when a business refuses to show financials they are hiding something, maybe the debt is worse then first thought or for whatever reason NA want to kill the sport.
Hopefully they have something good up their sleeves.Susan Meaney talking to Raf about it on ABC RN now. She said they’re exploring options. He’s asking her about the AFLW v the netballers and how she feels about netballers not getting the publicity and deals that AFLW gets.
AfLW gets zero interest and publicity in QLD. I’m sure they are doing well in Melbourne (and perhaps others as well) but they sound rather Melbourne centric comments.
Perhaps NA did not share their financials with the PE because they do not want to be part of a PE transaction. PE deals are not sunshine and rainbows. There seemed to be quite a bit of naivety from the players when it first came up, take it and save us. It’s our only hope. Not necessarily.
I wonder if NA smelled a rat? Was the PE bid somewhat of a phishing exercise to gain insight into those financials?
