The next game’s on Sunday, not tomorrow, Netballcrazy1
@SilverFernsNZ too strong for England in the second test#netball #NZLvENG @NetballScoop https://t.co/h8oqgrIAO3

I think its just a reverse of the WC. England and Australia just weren’t used to NZ style/zone anymore. I’d say this Ferns squad isn’t used to the tough man on man marking. Don’t forget you’re playing without the “fossils”.
England could have won that, but no a ridiculous unnecessary change.
Once Guthrie was off injured I would have liked Oyesola back on at WD.
Saunders and Crampton…
I think the problem is that they’ve played for so long together they’ve developed bad habits and become too predictable. I think Saunders Will definitely benefit from playing with a whole new attack line up next season.Oh, and its about time the umpires started noticing Watson shoving Fisher to the floor. Two very obvious shoves and umpires ignored it. Not impressed.
The Wilson shoving thing. Assume as its before the C pass the only thing the Umpire can do us issue a warning/caution?
I don’t think Saunders was the problem, so would like to see her start with Souness at WA.
I’d like to see this lineup for game 3:
Wilson
Falkner
Souness
Saunders
Winders/Kersten
Burger
JuryEke could play a half at GS, however do think she needs to be rested. Falkner to play a full game.
Would like to see Burger and Jury get a full game. See them build a combination.
Winders/Kersten to share WD, with one of them swinging into C, if needed.I think Souness’ speed is really needed against such athletic English defenders. She just objects that dynamic energy and seems to kick start the players around her into action. I’m really excited to see her play with Gordon next year.
Ekenasio looks exhausted, I hope they start Faulkner next match. The series is won, it’s about exposing new talent now. The Ferns lack shooting depth so getting good game time under pressure into players like Falkner leading towards 2022 will only do them favours. Kerstin is quite underrated in my opinion. She was really solid, much better than Saunders today. It’ll be interesting to see which Midcourt Noels starts on Sunday.
I’ve never seen such depth in English netball before, it’s great to see how their talent has developed. A lot of competition for spots going forward. Everyone was so panicked about what would happen after Harten and Mentor but I wouldn’t be too concerned really.
I am so impressed with England today (minus Corbin). They genuinely could have won it with a little smarter coaching decisions.
I’d really like to see more of Falkner because at times the ferns circle did look a little tired. It’s been such a heavy week for them, giving Jury, Faulkner and Souness more court time in the next match is surely a sensible move
Is Josh Bowring available to umpire the next game? just a thought.
@mcleod Some of the English players on show today, are better than what I saw in the SSN.
Ferns not polished by any means. But I say thanks to Corbin for the win. Ferns did a 10-1 run when she was on.Couldn’t agree more – go right back to Glasgow CWG – and now here. This experiment has gone on long enough.
I wondered about Josh Bowring. I assumed he was NZ based so was surprised he wasn’t available. However, I think the umpires did as Storm Purvis predicted. They went over their game to see why the penalty stats were so loaded in NZ favour. Overall I think they’ve done a good job, except for the Watson shoves.

Noels really needs to take the risk and allow some of the senior players to sit a series out. Take the loses in the hopes to build the depth pool for these up and coming players.
In all fairness the Ferns are missing Rore (however I don’t she has much longer to go), Karaka, Faka, Mes, TP, MSB then players like Nweke, Poi, and Gordon who weren’t chosen.
That’s a whole potential lineup missing.
Crampton isn’t really doing it for me atm. She’s the VC but her inconsistency is troubling.Con cup team I’d like to see:
Wilson
Ekenasio
Falkner/TP/Mes
NwekePoi
Souness
Winders
Kersten/ GordonSulu
Burger
Faka
Burley/juryRested:
Crampton
Rore
Saunders
WatsonI surprised Gordon made the Ferns Squad, but didn’t get into the Ferns team for a game or 2 in Cadbury and during this series.
Ferns look tired and it’s understandable after the last month
Ekenasio and Watson both need to sit the next game out. They both look shattered.
And Fisher being shoved by Jane, hmmmm!!!! Fisher didn’t help herself by barging as well.
But she will have to get use to it, going to be playing against the NZ defenders in 2021.Silver Ferns' coach Dame Noeline Taurua
