Well it showed when nweke git injured, that Tayla Earle had not much clue what to do, toeava I have never rated, her 2 very brief ferns outings have be woeful.
I see Dunn is on the move from the Pulse. I have been expecting this for the last couple of seasons.
Hmm Pulse now looking for a GS…interesting.
I wonder if ekanasio is going back to the Pulse?
And I hope Dunn is going to the Tactix! They need a big changeHBHP – hopefully Dunn isn’t going to Magic as I think she would benefit more from Tactix or a return to Steel.
Dunn is of to play for the :yahoo:
Thought so…good for her, closer to home.
I wonder what this means for Bird? Going to the magic (closer to home) or maybe being bumped from the league? There’s a lot of young shooting talent coming through
I think there are a couple of other dominate shooters in the league that could benefit from freshening up their game.
Not only shooters, Baller. There’s a couple of middies who need to move as well and see what its like to play for another team.
@McLeod, I wouldn’t have had Earle, Toeava, Hume or Johnson either. I suspect Johnson got in as Burger isn’t available and she can WD/GS slide but I am not even sure she played a full game all season even between the two positions. Fowler consistently got more court time. Earle has gone backwards over the last couple of seasons and her defensive play has regressed. In general when I watch ANZ compared to SSN it is concerning how slow NZ middies are to defend when ball is turned over. Toeava and Hume have already shown they are not big game players.Nweke is part way through her uni degree at UoA I believe, which will make moving difficult
Without the next Mystics coach being known I think it will be harder to retain/gain players. Who wants to dive into the unknown really.
I’d love to see Toeava and Warle for fast 5
@Maryann coach aside, I think it would be hard to find a GA that wants to play with Nweke should she stay. It’s almost like she’s like the kiss of death to GA’s because she becomes the sole focus of the attack and it becomes very hard for the GA’s to put their hands up and shine.
When I first heard that Dunn was moving I heard that her replacement was going to be an international. I don’t know if that is still the case and I hope not. We have too many good GS’s sitting on our benches the likes of Walmsley, Glen and Namana. We don’t need any more international shooters.
