@Maryann, not quite. Wilson has been wanting to go home for a while now. Crampton wants to play with a good shooter (no disrespect to the Steel shooters) so when the Steel missed out on their targeted shooter, Crampton went to the Stars to play with Maia.

GailParata will get the Pulse coaching gig. Isn’t she a former Wellington player?

I hope all of the hard work and building over the years will go out the window for Tactix.
They have had this team mostly for the last 3 or so years (along with some terrible ACL injuries)

Isn’t Auckland home for Maia Wilson? What is the “home” team she’s wanted to go to from the Stars?

I wonder if Pulse have a lot of employment/sponsorship connections which aren’t counted in the salary cap. I remember there was a lot of talk about the Swifts exploiting that loophole the year they had Thwaites, Pettitt, Layton, Green, Clarke, Corletto, Hadley, Wood & McCulloch (and the next year when they brought Langman over).

    Wilson is an Auckland girl.

The thing with Pulse, most of their players are from that area or have settled down.
Only Dunn and Gordon have no family connections to Wellington.

IMO the Pulse are currently a ‘make your SF career’ team.

Like Jury this year, the SF who has transferred for the 2021 season is very clever. No wonder the Steel are struggling.

I would like Burger to move to a team, and play at GD.
Her Ferns career is at GD, not WD. Hmmm maybe a spot at the Tactix if Temalisi is on the move.

Would love to see Burger play GD week in week out.

Malesala is barely starting for her Premier League team over here.. hasn’t been consistent at all. Think she’ll be better suited back in NZ.

Yeah I haven’t seen much of her but she was the 4th/5th choice shooter for the Waratahs last year at ANL level (and there were only 5 shooters). Dwyer, Letherbarrow, Miller and Singleton all have good potential but it’s not exactly like Malesala was setting the world on fire. I thought that the only ANZP team that would contract her would be Steel to be honest but she might be a lot stronger playing in the NZL system.

@al_ex @Tactixsupporter, She is an Auckland girl but I think you will find that Maia owns a house in another city. She plays her club netball in another city and has done for a couple of years now and only spends time in Auckland when contracted to the Stars. That’s what I meant by home.

Obviously I have overrated Malesalas abilities but I will look forward to seeing her back. She reminds me of Tiana with her physicality.

If the rumours of Fakahakaou leaving are correct, I would love to see Burger move and play GD with Watson at GK. Never will happen, but could be a good thing for NZ netball

Just heard another rumour but I’m not sure about this one. The Steel missed out on their second targeted players so they are zero from two which really sucks for them but I hear that player has instead gone to the Tactix.

But, I can happily say the Steel have picked up two signings which I think will be good for them. Both were bench players for their teams but will probably be starting for the Steel or at the very least one will and she is a person who I thought would not move from her current team but I guess everyone has their price!

Oh this is getting too much. I need names! Haha.

Prosser to be the shooter for Steel? She would do well as a starting shooter.

Oh I wonder who signed with Tactix over Steel. Burger? Souness? MSB?

Metuarau to Steel? She also would benefit from a starting position.

I wonder what will happen with imports in 2021. Highly unlikely NZ will open their borders.
Will McCollin get an exemption to return?

Burger to Tactix, Souness to Pulse, Tem to Magic, Mikaere to Steel
