You could be right but I am fairly sure a small group of the Magpies team are actually holidaying in Noosa at the moment, including Jovic and Sinclair.

Sorry aqua301 ALJ a far better option than Garrett. Garrett always looks slow at GD and doesn’t now seem to play GK. Shame ALJ doesn’t get more court time as with what she does get she improves every time.

I have enjoyed what ALJ has brought to the court in her few cameos. Thought her height could have been used with more frequency during power 5, but im not a coach 🙂

Garret had a tough ask this year coming on and off frequently. Her last performance of the year actually looked really promising, hopefully she can take the next step next year as Ward can slide to WD and Braz to C if needed.

Agree montyb. Hopefully she will get a start on Fowler on the weekend. In there last meeting ALJ went on for the last quarter and held Fowler to less than 10 goals. Lowest goals scored by Fowler in a quarter all season. Fowler spent a lot of time out of the circle and ALJ got a screaming intercept!!

100% agree, if things aren’t working out ALJ on, she had a cracker against Fowler and I think she’s the perfect type of GK to go up against the Fever and make life hard

Sasha Glasgow on the move. Vixens maybe with two vacancies??
Poor from the Tbirds again IMO.

Sasha has advised the club she intends to exercise her free-agency rights ahead of next season. We would like to thank…

I’m glad to see Glasgow on the move. She’d be a great fit at Vixens, Collingwood or Lightning.

Or could we see her head to Leeds and play under Dan Ryan?

Glasgow needs to play GS but there are no vacancies unless Aiken retires
I hope this means Horjus and Hodges get a contract next year with Potgeiter back at GS. Allen should also come back to TBirds and her and Horjus could be GA/WA slides

As a Vixens fan and also a Glasgow fan I would love it if they teamed up!

I don’t see Glasgow moving to Lightning. Why would you play behind Koenen and Wood when you could stay in Adelaide behind Horjus and Potgeiter? Surely she would move to a club with a clear starting 7 spot available. That would most likely be Vixens. Maybe Collingwood but then I don’t really think the Collingwood shooting circle was their issue this year and they also have Nyah Allen as a TP. Collingwood just need to fix their midcourt with returning players.

Anyway whoever Glasgow goes I hope it works out. She was outstanding in 2019 and if she returns to that form in 2021 will be in the Diamonds squad, especially if she plays more GA to round out her game (be a GA / GS swing). Now I hear the Vixens have an assistant coach that knows a thing or two about that position …

I did hear the Vixens are signing one player from interstate and one local (which I posted either in this thread or the one about Thwaites / Philip’s retirement) so….

As for Garrett… I will be honest I never saw what those that hyped her a year or so back did but she is a good player. She didn’t really get a great opportunity this year but was great in their final game. I would take her over Lee-Jones if I was a selecter. Lee-Jones has a lot of work to do and is very flat footed and slow. To rejuvenate her career I would like to see Garrett move clubs.

Players can only sign letters of intent with clubs at the moment. Contracts can’t be signed until after the GF.

Why would anyone who plays in Suncorp go to England? More concerning is what is going on at the Thunderbirds. two players gone now. Could she end up at the Swifts maybe? Proud and Garbin to Thunderbirds maybe

Why would a Garbin go to Adelaide to sit on the bench when she can stay in Sydney and do that?

Why would Glasgow move to Sydney to sit on the bench behind two international shooters in Housby and Wallace?

I’ll be shocked if she ends up anywhere but Melbourne. Not sure which team.

From the Adelaide announcement it reads to me that they wanted to retain Glasgow but she has elected to pursue other Opportunities (not surprising as she fell out of starting 7 and Horjus emerged).

So we will have speculation until the end of october! Will be interesting the teams next year. Will Swifts change any of their team? Where will Caitlin Thwaites end up? All to be answered shortly
