Just one more to go 🤞🤞🤞
Maddie Hinchliffe not staying with Lightning
Can’t tell from the article whether it was her choice or the club’s. Surely if it was the club’s then she would still be a TP? Maybe she’s back to Firebirds although that’s very WD-heavy. Magpies? Same issue though.
We are so thankful for everything Mads has contributed to Sunshine Coast Lightning 💛⚡

I thought she was only elevated to the 10 as a replacement for pretorious?
I have a feeling she’ll be demoted down to TP!To me, the announcement makes it sound like she’s leaving the club but who knows
Great news to see the T’Birds retain Dwan. Obst may have received some criticism but she’s been great at recruiting and retaining talent. She’s also done a great job developing Wilson, Garrett, Nankivell etc. The 2023 squad has much stronger change ups than the previous years have had. Cardwell/Dwan/Horjus/Williams/Petty/Wilson/Sterling could be very dangerous.
It’s a shame about Hinchliffe but it was bound to happen with the amount of defensive players they have. Miller was good this year and I assume they see her as a longer-term replacement to Scherian. Hinchliffe to Fever would be a good move.
I don’t mind Obst.
I was watching the old World Cup games and as great as shamera she has improved so much from being at the tbirds.
We need tk give her credit for developing the best defensive game in the league.
Let’s hope for fewer turnovers next season. Can’t wait to see what the starting line up will look like.Got an email from Swifts membership this morning thanking Bec Bulley for her time as she’s leaving the club to take on the Firebirds Head Coach job.
Bec Bulley has been named the new @FirebirdsQld head coach, for the next four years.

Ye that’s an interesting move. One that doesn’t make any sense 🤷‍♂️
I mean, they’ve now got Bruce, Aryang, Ellis & Jenner. Ellis is going to get ZERO game time and surely Jenner only gets on court if Aryang is having a bad game or moves to WD?
