was she at Fever when Medhurst was? could she sign as 3rd shooter? I know she has been mentioned as a possibility for the FB’s but if she’s got a relationship with the new coach for Lightning might that be a draw card?
Found an article where Medhurst talks about her time in Fever Reserves and describes Reynolds as ‘a second mum’ to her. I’d say it would certainly be a draw card. Only question is if Lightning could afford such a stacked shooting end.
Couldn’t be more happier for you @BelReynolds
A huge congratulations 👏🏽👏🏽 https://t.co/gJomH1u4UA— Nat Medhurst (@natmedhurst) October 13, 2022
Medhurst did a Q&A on Instagram and was flooded with questions about whether she will play for Lightning or Firebirds next season.
Said she would love to play SSN again, however no comms with either team.
Interestingly also said Maria Folau is surely in the mix for one of the roles.
I then go to Folau’s Instagram and she had posted a video from the gym where she looks just like her Ferns days.
Could be back to the future with those two perhaps.. and as a Ferns fan could we see Folau in a black dress for one final (final) hurrah 🤔 😂
Folau just made a post saying she’s heading back to Japan with her husband for his job. Could be a bit difficult to miss preseason.
Im sure Folau’s insta posts are referring to her getting back to it post birth of her second child with no intention of playing netball at higher levels again.
A young gun joins the nest, as three return for season 2023!

Lightning have just announced that Annie Lawrie will not continue as a training partner in 2023.. wonder if she has a full-time contract at Firebirds?!
2022 Training Partner and Lightning player #18, Annie Lawrie will not continue on as a Training Partner with the Club for the 2023 season. We want to thank Annie for everything she has contributed to the Club 💛⚡ pic.twitter.com/VCm0O2lsU4

Interesting that Annie Lawrie posted on her Instagram saying she wasn’t offered a contract but has now changed the caption
Start date for SSN released. The comp will begin on March 18 and finish early July to allow players to prepare for the World Cup. First round will feature the grand final replay – Fever v Vixens.
