Dehaney is on a two year contract. As are Walsh, Pretorious and Hinchliffe. Very defense heavy.
If FBs keep Wallam, Aiken George and Bueta who is the backup GA?
Aiken George could be handy in the defence. Especially defending the super shot.
They’d have to be clever in their recruiting, if they kept Wallam and Aiken.Smith to stay a Swift in 2023
Tegan O’Shannassy has re-signed with the Swifts.
So long as there is no injury to another bookend next year, I think the Swifts will be really dangerous in 2023. Smith, O’Shannassy and Singleton/Fawns will only get stronger.

Netball Queensland would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge Jemma Mi Mi for her contribution to the Queensland Firebirds both on and off court for the past six seasons. The decision to not offer Jemma a new contract hasn’t been made lightly. We are grateful for all she has shared with her purple family and wish her all the very best in 2023 and beyond 💜
The decision doesn’t surprise me. Will be interesting to see who they recruit. Do they promote Gardner or look elsewhere to pick up someone off contract such as Nankivell, Williams, Miller or even Pitman?
Thinking out loud here, if Firebirds are going to have Wallam and Aiken-George, a player like Cosh could be very handy.
Agree with the Cosh comment!
Wondering why a coach didn’t get a say in this decision about Mimi? I know these things are time sensitive but seems a coach would like t have some input?
Really hope Mimi can pick up a contract elsewhere, she does need the right coaching to settle her a bit but otherwise she has a lot to offer.
Maybe a gig in the ANZ at magic, they need a WA, any wing attack will do. Feed ekenasio and Mes
Magic have a WA, Wilbourne (sp?). Did fine job when she returned from injury
Cosh actually would be the perfect fit.
Unless they are planning to keep Wallam, Bueta, Aiken George and Stower with Stower to develop in WA as she has played there.
Kelly Singleton hasn’t been offered a contract for next year, so it looks like Swifts will be going with Fawns.
We would like to thank Kelly Singleton for all of her efforts this year. The Club has informed Kelly that she won’t be part of our contracted 10 in 2023, but is working to assist with the next steps of her netball journey ❤️💙
