I thought Singleton really stepped up over the season and was developing nicely. Could see her finding a home in the UK if she wanted to play abroad.
Singleton lacks tenacity in my opinion, this is the same flaw I see in Koenen as well.
I think that’s really such a shame. Not only did Singleton improve a lot, I think her natural timing is excellent and she could be so dangerous if she gained more experience. I hope she gets a contract somewhere but I’m not sure who has space for her. She would be great for Fever if Cosh were to move/retire. Australians who go to the UK never seem to really find their way back into the Australian pathways, it would probably be smarter for her to be a TP somewhere (even though that is such a difficult lifestyle).
I wonder who the Swifts have recruited. I have a feeling it won’t be Fawns, I think they would have done the announcement differently if she was getting a contract.
I mentioned the other day, if you could somehow magically combine Singleton and Fawns, you’d have a great player, because both of them seemed to have something that the other lacked. But Fawns is younger, so it would be no surprise if they do go with her.
Fawns and perhaps Singleton could use another year as TPs to mature a bit. I agree with Singleton lacking some tenacity but she improved a heck of a lot in the second half of the season and hope she gets a contract elsewhere.
Fawns has a higher ceiling than Singleton but is not as developed yet. If I was Swifts I’d retain her but perhaps not on a full contract.
Why would Singleton be great at Fever? She’d never get court time behind Glasgow considering how amazing she’s been this year and ATN would probably also be GA before her
There was a video of Singleton and O’Shanassy where they were offered their contracts for this season with Akle and Bulley. In that video they reference the fact Singleton had been a TP for a few seasons and that she wasn’t sure she could do it again. For that reason I don’t think she’ll be a
TP. It’s an incredibly tough gig to be a TP.Stacey Francis Bayman to retire after CG.

RBD and Wallam sign for Firebirds.
That’s really good for Wallam. If she wants to play for the Diamonds, Bueta is a great player to be playing with.
Did Cardwell sign with Thunderbirds?
