It has been a source of much annoyance over the years that with the official stats taken by Champion Data, the passer wasn’t credited with an “assist” if the shooter was contacted or obstructed and scored from the penalty shot.
Well, finally, that has been rectified this year! I thought the number of assists had risen. 😆
