I would suspect that Rangia has another gig lined up. Either SF assistant coach or Firebirds possibly. I think she’s an awesome coach but after 11 years it’s time for a change.
I’ve been racking my brain and I cannot think of anyone to replace her or Mary-Anne, what decent coaches are even out there in NZ atm. Donna L, Julie S, TRSR, Rob W, Wendy F? That’s all that I can think of and most of them are pretty green.
Does anyone have any inside knowledge?
I guess there would be a number of coaching opportunities in the new English NSL 2.0?
What about Temepara?
Or could we see the return of Southby??
I’ve got Julie Seymour pencilled in the Tactix.
Oh hands off Jo Trip, we’re keeping her.
I dunno… the gig at the Dragons seems like a bit of a downgrade to me… Also with this comment from the CEO in the press release “for us, the hunt now begins for a high calibre and dynamic coach who can take the Steel in a new direction”, does this suggest Bloxham was gently pushed out the door?

I wish Reinga the best of luck.
The opportunity to live and work in the UK, with Europe on the doorstep, would be a draw for many. Not that Invercargill is without its own charm…
I don’t know if a different coach could have achieved a better result with the available roster Steel had this year tbh, unless they could coach not getting injured.
She probably lacks experience, but I would love to see Donna Wilkins get a shot at the head coach role.
It’s probably more nostalgia for me. Her connections with Steel and Sting days. She might be able to bring a winning culture, and might be able to lure over a strong shooter (Dunn or Bird).
She may be able to re-create that magic Robyn Broughton had back in her days!@museboy, this is a step sideways.
– Bloxham acted as a consultant for the Wales team at the WC. I wonder if they offered her that post??
– I don’t think she was pushed, considering all the injuries Steel have had she can still hold her head high.
– she’ll be leading/creating Dragons first fully professional netball team, that’s got to be exciting. Not sure about Jill McT looking over her though… -
