What an odd time of the day to make an announcement. But it is very good to see TPs rewarded for hard work and dedication.

How many spaces do they have left now?
    Mawenei
    Pretorius
    Shimmin
    Unie
    Scherian
    Mccauliffe
    Proscovia

Is there three spaces left now? And I’m assuming they will be shooters/WA?

2 shooters and a midcourter to go.

For anyone interested, there is a video on SCL social media of Unie being told she is getting a contract. Reminds of JF telling Hay she was getting promoted

Cara Koenen and Steph Wood re-sign with Lightning.

I think that was the most likely scenario so not surprised.

Well that was underwhelming…(as in not unexpected)

Where’s the excitement in this years signing period? Sigh.

    Cassidy has joined Lightning.

I like the team they have out together. Strong and versatile. Going to be dangerous.

The lightning team looks very good. Great defensive depth and lots of young yet strong players.
Hmmmmm so a return to Fever is Pitman’s only option?

Also, completely random note, despite letting go of ALJ, Lightning’s social media acknowledged her birthday today. I know it means nothing but still interesting.

    Fever is full.

Only Giants, Collingwood and Vixens left to go (with Adelaide also having spots but obviously not for Pitman).

I think playing at Lightning will be really good for Cassidy. She will be learning from Wood and Scherian and feeding Cara Koenan who will most likely be a starting diamond in the next few years.
