Lordy, what is going on with Jamaican netball? They really should be on top of the world, but their administration (or lack of it) does them absolutely no favours, does it?!

Is it unreasonable for NJ to ask players to make themselves available for trials? Don’t the Silver Ferns and Diamonds have to attend trials for selection?

Seems to me some of those players think better they are to good to attend trials.

And the comments attributed to Sterling show a certain amount of arrogance.

This is SO CONFUSING. But I think I got it.

Netball Jamaica is aksing players to come and trial to get into the squad, not for the team. In Aus the squad is announced based on form and then a team is selected after attendance at trials. I can understand why some players, especially someone like Fowler, wouldn’t want to spend all that money to go and trial for the squad and leave their families, which some only see in their off-season, when they have already proven themselves over and over again and should be attending trials to select the specific team for the upcoming tournament. NJ should have handled this differently.
