It seems that Team Bath are lowering their expectations this season in being delighted to narrowly win against a team whom they would have been pretty confident of beating comfortably in previous seasons. Most of their players have now returned but they remain lacklustre. Something isn’t right.Ian HarkinModeratorMarch 1, 2022 at 9:53 pmPost count: 13970
Not really getting any info, but surely there must be an injury of some sort.Bath HammerParticipantMarch 3, 2022 at 12:34 amPost count: 26
I believe it was said that she was being rested after exertions with England, something that has happened before. Nevertheless we have a strong lineup with a number of current & future internationals so should be able to compete with the top two as in the past even without Serena.Bath HammerParticipantMarch 5, 2022 at 8:47 amPost count: 26
So, a much better performance for the first 3 quarters against Thunder but in the end another loss which makes P6 W3 L3 with the in form champions to come the match after next.Ian HarkinModeratorMarch 5, 2022 at 12:58 pmPost count: 13970
Much better performance. Don’t worry, still plenty of time to go. Just makes their job a bit tougher, but all they have to do is make the top 4 and then it’s 50/50.
A well contested match this evening in Bath, with Thunder taking the win by 4 goals!

🗨️ "We were great for three-quarters of the game… but we stopped doing the things that had worked well for us and allowed them to go out too far.”

The current decline of Team Bath as a force seems to be highlighted by two contrasting results :-

No real improvement & I can’t see them reaching the top 4 this time. I know we are without Guthrie but we’ve managed before so what has gone wrong this season? Is it poor preparation of just that several players have lost form? There was a decline at the tail end of last season so maybe it started then.Bath HammerParticipantMarch 15, 2022 at 8:35 amPost count: 26
A huge collapse in the final quarter – again! Is it a fitness issue?Ian HarkinModeratorMarch 20, 2022 at 12:57 amPost count: 13970
🗨️ “It’s frustrating. We knew it was going to be a hotly-contested game & we competed really well for the majority of it."

The #BlueAndGold are without Tash Pavelin, Layla Guscoth and Imogen Allison for tonight's trip to Wasps due to Covid. Coming into the matchday 12 are Molly Hole, Anya Le Monnier and a first #VNSL2022 call-up for training associate Annie O'Rourke 💙💛 pic.twitter.com/eAwCgQYc1o
