Team Bath Netball show character in Wasps reverse as Covid provides latest “curveball” during a Superleague season of challenges
So, it seems that Team Bath have at last got their act together. Important match on Monday against London Pulse who are ahead of them. Win that & they will really look like a top 4 side.
Another good win, this time against a team that has been performing well. The aim is to win the next 3/4 games in a confident manner so that the matches to come against the top two will be encounters to be faced with renewed confidence.
I don’t think there’s any worry about them making top 4. They haven’t got Guthrie, but the rest of the team is playing well and no doubt they’re the 3rd best team in the comp right now.
Well that was exciting! @TeamBathNetball were in dominant form to beat @Pulse_Netball at the Team Bath Arena tonight. Here's our match report @HainesWattsBris @Rengenlandm @Centurioncfp @EcusEnvironment @UniofBathhttps://t.co/UCa8OQL82r pic.twitter.com/F9p5SIhFhS

Wow. Bath go down in a big upset to Leeds Rhinos tonight. A real shocker.
The result may not have gone our way today, but the #BlueAndGold will bounce back better and stronger?
Congratulations to a strong and consistent @RhinosNetballSL side on the win?#VNSL2022 #TeamBath #Force pic.twitter.com/vq5nTPRKit

I think you are as perplexed as I am Ian as to what to expect from Bath this season. They are so unpredictable. We thought they had turned the corner but clearly that is not the case!
Don’t understand it. Their form the past couple of weeks was great.
The two at the top are the only consistent sides so whoever completes the top 4 it will likely be one of them who wins the title – though this time last year Bath looked unbeatable!
And @TeamBathNetball have snatched it! ?
Behind for so long, the hosts have come away with all three points!! ?
What a dramatic ending! ? pic.twitter.com/xXzQNSIYE5

This is an immensely disappointing season. We have fallen back by a colossal amount since about three quarters the way through last season prior to which we looked like champions. We smashed Thunder in the process but what a difference to where we are today, losing by 21 points! It is true we have lost one top player but that doesn’t account for this level of decline & should have been envisaged. We are nowhere near the top two so reaching the playoffs seems immaterial. We need to build back up for next season & find a coach with the right level of ambition.
Thunder are probably just a class above everybody. In the first game, Bath got within 4 goals of them, but now it’s 21, and it’s a similar story with the other teams that Thunder have played twice. Some of them got close to Thunder first time round, but have been thrashed the second time.
Bath still clinging on to 4th spot despite this result.
What a great match today against @LboroLightning well done on your win?? #teambathnetball #blueandgold?? pic.twitter.com/6tCJFRcg4m
