It is a shame, but understandable. They need to maintain that strict border control for non NZ citizens

Will be a good chance for Khiarna Williams to get some game time and push for the NZ under 21 squad.

Faulkner isn’t available to play in the ANZ Premiership, but wants to play in the Cadbury Series. Isn’t smart playing against the Men and Ferns without having a good season behind her.

Cadbury Series ?? wasn’t that where she picked up the injury ? she’s brave making that her comeback.

Marshall stuck in Oz, does that mean Swift and Mccollin didn’t return home at the start of the pandemic? doesn’t one of them have a child? that must have been tough.

Agreed let Khiarna Williams have a chance to step-up but I would love to see Malia Vaka. I’m assuming she still plays

Question – would Chiara Semple be gained entry? she’s free to play

I think Semple is back in NZ. But Khiarna Williams is a good young player.

And yes both the T & T players stayed in NZ. I am surprised the Magic decided that Marshall going home was the better option. Abi Latu-M returned to Aus, but being a NZ citizen she was allowed to return, but took more than 1 go.

Feel really bad for Magic, that’s a blow for their shooting end. Yes Semple is definitely back in NZ and would love to see her play in the ANZ. I see they’ve started to push the issue on social media, tagging your PM so maybe that’ll make some progress.
Will be good for Williams to get a couple of games experience whilst Marshall is in quarantine.

On a different note has anyone noticed how different quarantine is between NZ and Aus?
Lenize and Shadine in Aus don’t leave their rooms but people in NZ I’ve seen out on walks accompanied by staff and exercising in the public areas of the hotel.

The NZ Warriors Rugby League team, spent 14 days in isolation when they arrived in Aus, early May.
But they were allowed to train as a team, and run around outside.

New Zealand seems far more strict, seeing they are not allowing someone in from Australia,
yet players from Covid hot spots South Africa and England are allowed into aussie.

But they too had to spend 14 days isolated when they got here.
