Management committee set to add strength to Magic

Has there been any word or even rumours, on who’s applied for the Head coach job?
I wouldn’t be surprised if something has been offered to Rob Wright. Could possibly see Rore and maybe Karaka go there too.
A lineup of:
Karaka
Tong
Rore
Winders
Kara
Williams
CBassWouldn’t be surprised to see Falkner return back to Magic
I heard on inside netball that Rore is moving to the region. She would be a great pick-up.
Karaka would be good too, especially if she could rekindle her combo with Erena.
Don’t think Rob Wright will be the next coach or the current assistant they have now. I think they’ll look for new blood and preferably with some experience.
Cough southby cough LOL 😉
I think the need to look at getting a better C option. Winders is ok there, but her attacking play isn’t the best.
There have been a number of times CBass is free, and Winders isn’t passing to her. Winders is a WD and should be playing there.
That’s her position in the Ferns, yet has not played at WD all anz.I don’t think Southby is a good coach TBH. I feel that’ll be a step backwards. I wonder if YMD has been approached?
Re Winders: I prefer her at WD too. But she’s been doing a good job at C, considering all the changes they have in their attacking end. She is obviously a defensive C, so having a good dominant WA would better suite.
I am hoping (if she’s fit) that ACD makes a comeback next year too.
YMD doesn’t want to coach at that level anymore, she has already been asked.
I think Winders has been pretty poor at C this season. Thrown a lot of ball away and some of them have cost them the game. She is tenth in total penalties with the other nine being in circle defenders. I much prefer her at WD but I guess it’s a case of them not having anyone else.
I’m not fully sold on CBass either. Her shooting stats are up there but her movement just seems so limited when compared to other shooters which makes it hard for the feeders.
CBass is a one trick pony.
The game has progressed beyond her capabilities.Horrible and untrue thing to say
CBass certainly isn’t a one trick pony, shes won games for Aus for how many years? The game might have changed but she’s sure as hell not a one trick pony.@worsie, not nice :negative: . Have to admit I’m not Cbass fan but those comments are horrible. You have to take account that she’s playing for a different team in a different style, with new feeders that don’t train together on a regular basis.
I’d say the lack of training together has effected Winders at C also. Would love to see the return of ACD, WA is her first position.
Coach – Tem Bailey has been mentioned. Is she ready? Whoever gets the post will need a lot of support. Not sure if it was there for Metcalfe. B-)
I’m not a CBass fan either and cannot for the life of me understand why the Magic players aren’t training together.
If the other 5 teams can train as a team, then why can’t Magic. Maybe some are to busy sightseeing.
They might cause a massive upset tomorrow and beat the Tactix, but I can’t see them getting within 15 or 20.
Winders form has been poor last few games, she won’t have the speed to keep up with Poi.
I know Sam had a great Con Cup, but the form of Kate Heffernan in the C/WD spot for the Steel is better.
Magic need a dam good makeover. Stop selecting out of shape, injured players, it’s been embarrassing. -
