https://www.instagram.com/stories/ameliaranne_ekenasio/2723685059466120264/ Ekenasio and Luna have flown up to join the Magic.
I wonder if they will train together during the week this coming year or if its going to be like last season.Only basing this on photos I’ve seen on Instagram, but Katrina Rore is looking extremely fit.
Also good seeing that Ekenasio is back on the court. She is so needed in the Ferns.No Khiarna Williams this year?? No one saying why
Williams injured? Sick?
There are a few regulars not playing the pre-season games so I wouldn’t read too much into it.
TB not sure what this commuting is going to do to Ekenasio long term.
Looking forward to seeing Williams play again this year, I thought she was great last season. B-)
A lot of people were asking on their fb page about Williams & then it was quickly deleted.
Gotta be tough on Ameilanne, she looked very tired!!Who was playing WA?
I feel like not recruiting a specialist WA, is a very amateur move. Magic is my team, so I hope they prove my words very wrong!I heard Williams is injured, non netball related. Don’t know if she will be back this season.
Magic have picked up Martina Reekers from QLD. That’s a big loss for QLD netball and Australia. Great young shooter.
Not sure what the status of her contract is I just saw on Instagram that Reekers is with Magic.
Can’t share the post, but saw Ekenasio put up a Magic shooters picture on Instagram – her and Mes as the elder stateswomen, with Reekers and Rowland kneeling in front, holding little Luna. Cute pic.
Wonder if we’ll see Mes and Reekers starting games at the beginning of the season to manage Ekenasio’s load. I know we need her playing (from a Ferns perspective) but zero to 100 straight away might cook her??
@Kerryn you’re not wrong there..
Re WA, surely it has to be either Winders or Kersten? Purely speculating, but could Taurua ‘request’ Kersten at WA to help with her C feeding game for the Ferns? Would that even be a thing?
Imagine Rore is WD with Tong, Mikaere and Māihi sharing the defensive circle?
