What a shame! I know the U/21 squad is currently at their camp and it would’ve been a great opportunity to showcase skill.
Devastating news for the next generation of Diamonds as the International Netball Federation confirms that the 2021 Netball World Youth Cup, scheduled to be played this December in Suva, Fiji, has been cancelled.

Rubbish decision. Move the comp to AUS or NZ
INF needs a good shake up, utterly poor decision to cancel this event.
Surely they could have had talks with Netball NZ and the NZ Govt.
They stepped in last time Fiji had issues. The problem with having events in 3rd world countries..
I really would like to see NZ and Aus run a mini U21 series. Perhaps Aus could host this time?
Well this is very sad….
I think that the cost of the additional quarantine and visa screens would be pretty prohibitive for most countries, including the Aus and NZ programs. Most youth programs don’t have funds that might be needed for extended stays, or for supporting athletes to be away from work or study during an extended time. But definitely showing that inequality in resources across the world netball community. probably the rapid increase of COVID infections in PNG is a bit of a decision point for the INF too, with the vulnerabilities in pacific island communities in terms of social isolation options.
