With Stanton out from Fever I’m concerned for ATN’s playing future after 2021. I think she’s a much better playmaker than Stanton, however what if Emma Cosh becomes the preferred GA at Fever next year? Who is going to want a GA who doesn’t shoot/has below average accuracy?
They’ve probably cut Pitman & Shimmin and will be putting more money into keeping Sterling/Guscoth/Potgieter/van de Merwe. I wouldn’t be suprised if they elevate Chelsea Blackman and a young C/WA
With 11 defence spots left across the 8 teams I can’t really see ALJ being picked up anywhere. Pretorious, Brandley, Moore, Weston, Dehaney, Guscoth, Sterling, Shimmin, Francis, Aryang, Garrett all remain unsigned at this stage.
Very sad that Cassidy is off but I’m happy she’s not going to sit behind Rav in C. Would hope they keep Dunkley and Mi Mi. A Dunkley/Mi Mi/Simpson would be a strong midcourt option.
I’m watching the Fever v Vixens draw. Sue Gaudion talks about Colyers ACL and talks about it being a “career ending” injury? Can anyone confirm whether she’s not actually coming back to netball?
Uhhhhh as a Firebirds I’m not thrilled about Rav coming back. I am hoping that article is just speculation and not actually true, as there has been no sign of activity on Firebirds/Magpies/Ravs story.
I was really hoping they would have a midcourt of Cassidy, Simpson, Dunkley/Mi Mi/Gardner. Annoyed that they’ve signed Rav who wasn’t performing well pre-baby and probably is more expensive than most of the players on that team list AND now are having to let go of a few of the young, upcoming midcourters (3 who are in the Development Squad and an U21).
