in reply to: 2023 ANZP ROUND 1 #1354979
Just wondering apart from Fisher were steel missing any of their other contracted players? Or is it going to be a long and painful season for them?
If so I feel for Winders particularly who was looking for a fresh start.. š£in reply to: 2023 QUAD SERIES (Jan) – SA/Aus/NZ/Eng #1353755I think broadcast is back.. just in time for more add breaks š
in reply to: 2023 QUAD SERIES (Jan) – SA/Aus/NZ/Eng #1353753Thanks Ian. Looks like after a rocky start SA are settling in and itās a lot more goal for goal.

in reply to: 2023 Test Series – Eng v Jam (Jan) #1353541That last quarter scoreā¦ wow! Did jamaica fall apart of England surge forward? Or both? How often has a team with Fowler in GS only scored 5 goals??
in reply to: 2023 QUAD SERIES (Jan) – SA/Aus/NZ/Eng #1353474Has there been any word on how we can watch these games in Aus? Or a catch-up at the very least as I probably wonāt be getting up at 1am š
in reply to: 2022 Test Series – Australia v England (Oct/Nov) #1352241This has been such a boring gameā¦ zero intensity. England attack look miserable and as if theyāre going through the motions and their defence look like their putting the Aussies through a training drill.
in reply to: 2022 Test Series – Australia v England (Oct/Nov) #1352225Iād like to see SDL in WA and literally anyone else in C. The Metcalf/Clarke combo is not effective.
in reply to: 2022 Test Series – Australia v England (Oct/Nov) #1352221Thilby not afraid to tell housby to pull it in. I liked it.
Just throw the ball to Cardwell already!!!
in reply to: 2022 Test Series – Australia v England (Oct/Nov) #1352096I was genuinely emotional watching Wallam take the court, and then definitely shed a tear at the end for that finish. What an incredible moment of strength and composure for her.
Iād be quite happy to never hear that male commentator again, what a way to ruin the moment. This fiasco was a NA issue and the players presented a united front and for both commentators to continue to put it on Wallams shoulders just plays in to what has been disgusting media coverage. Appalled.
I think weāve found our new Cox/Basset GS change. Start Garbin and let her work in to the game and bring Wallam on for impact when you need to score quickly, weāve been calling for it for a while now and it was good to see it pay off tonight.
The England GK was phenomenal and Fran Williams really read the game well. I know they mentioned playing possession netball but I thought the England attack really missed Cardwell opening up on the third second quite a few times.
Odd game though that really lacked intensity at times.
in reply to: 2022 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1351927Maybe Iām just mesmerized by DNT but I honestly think if she cared more about winning than trialing players NZ wouldāve taken the cup back home with them. I feel like they only lost because her priority is WC.
Every time they lose I feel like itās purely because she doesnāt want to show her strongest hand and sheās also ensuring she sees every combination that she feels she needs to before picking the best team for the major tournaments.in reply to: 2022 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1351846Half way through the first quarter and itās clear the Aussie defence isnāt going to get away with nearly as much as they did last game. Letās see if they can still be disruptive and effective and stay in play
in reply to: 2022 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1351769Interesting theory re-Koenan but doesnāt really explain Woodā¦
Wood scored almost half of Aussie goals though so suggests to me she was in the circle a lot so why doesnāt she have the same volume with Koenan?in reply to: 2022 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1351735Iām all for physical games, but there is a line between physical and dirty and I think the diamonds defence at times crossed that line in that game. Iām not saying the ferns donāt go just as hard but I think their physicality is a lot more targeted towards getting the ball, whereas sometimes it seemed like Bruce and Weston were grossly physical for the sake of it and that comes across as dirty. Iāve been coached that way before āget in their heads early and rough them up until the umpire calls you in to lineā sort of scenario and in this case the umpires didnāt so they continued the whole game. It was bad to watch at times.
On an unrelated note, I think Steph Wood thrives more when anyone other than Koenan is at GS and I canāt seem to figure out why..?
