How did Wilson and Metuarau’s fitness drop so quickly post-NWC? Especially Wilson… Good on Malesala for keeping her fitness up and having the chance to now be the starting SFs GA(!).
I really worry about this shooting circle, even with G Heffernan (who I don’t hugely rate – accuracy still a huge problem). Need people like Tui, Vui, Khiarna Williams to have big seasons if TPSR is quietly drifting away from international netball. Excited for Tui’s future in particular.
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1367348Bit unsure about keeping Harten on for two years. What sort of game fitness does she have after missing the entire international season and assuming a coaching role? Hope Letherbarrow is given plenty of time and Harten isn’t just preferred as default still.

in reply to: 2023 ANZP ROUND 7 #1357361Sokolich-Beatson is a bit like Kayla Johnson – seems a far more natural and effective in GD when moved there from WD.

in reply to: 2023 SSN ROUND 4 #1356977Get the sense the Firebirds were up for the start of the game to get a win on the board, but looking a bit gassed now. Conversely, Magpies are up and about, especially Mentor/Ward absolutely dominating.
in reply to: 2023 SSN ROUND 4 #1356923Diminishing returns for Koenen: 13, 12, 11, 5.
in reply to: 2023 SSN ROUND 4 #1356922Wood/Koenen were brilliant – 231.5 NNP(!) between them. But Lightning mid-court found wanting, and Pretorius had a very quiet game against Austin.
+1 about Kate Eddy. Arms everywhere and manages to haul in some of Weston’s dodgy passes on attack.
in reply to: 2023 ANZP ROUND 3 #1355705Steel’s defensive end struggling even more than the attack – 0 gains, 0 rebounds and only 2 pick-ups in the first half.
in reply to: 2023 SSN ROUND 1 #1355657Dwan, Sterling & Williams were brilliant.
Funny how the super shot seems to mess with shooter’s heads – Cardwell was 3/8 there with shots she’d usually make pretty easily.
in reply to: 2023 ANZP ROUND 3 #1355560What does Mvula have to do to get on court? It’s definitely not all Walmsley’s doing this game, but the aversion to playing Mvula is strange.
