England lifted in the final quarter, spurred on by their defence. Uganda fell into error in the 4th Q, throwing risky passes that were pounced on by the Roses.

Apart from Adio, Scholes helped lift England, while Tchine was very solid up front after a slow start.

            Full time: ENG 59-48

            Tchine 40/42 (95%)
            Reed 14/16 (88%)
            Neil 5/6 (83%)
            TOTAL 59/64 (92%)

            Cholhok 38/45 (84%)
            Eyaru 10/11 (91%)
            TOTAL 48/56 (86%)

A dominant final Q sees England book their place in tomorrow’s final. POTM Halimat Adio sparked the Roses defence.

              3/4 time: 42-42

              Tchine 28/30
              Reed 14/16

              Cholhok 33/39
              Eyaru 9/10

Anyone’s game. We’re all locked up with 15 minutes to go. Gains and turnovers are so vital here. First one team gains the advantage, then the other. Who’s going to come out on top?

                1/2 time: ENG 29-28

                Tchine 20/22
                Reed 9/12

                Cholhok 22/27
                Eyaru 6/7

Good game! It really opened up in Q2 with 34 goals scored after just 23 in the 1st Q. England in particular had far more success in finding Tchine and she rewarded them with 15 goals for the Q.

                  Eng v Uga

                  1/4 time: UGA 12-11

                  Reed 6/8
                  Tchine 5/6

                  Cholhok 10/14
                  Eyaru 2/3

Uganda just on top after a rather scrappy opening Q with neither team really finding great fluency. Cholhok again missing some shots from close range.

South Africa holds on against a valiant Malawi side to remain undefeated and seal their place in tomorrow’s final. Nichole Breedt was named POTM. She opened up the Proteas attack end nicely for Streutker. Lwazi was good once again for Malawi.

                      3/4 time: RSA 46-40

South Africa has won each quarter so far to just edge further in front. Malawi had the gap at just 3 goals with a minute to play before a costly turnover saw SA put on 3 late goals.

                        1/2 time: RSA 31-28

                        Mvula 20/21
                        Ngambi 8/10

                        Streutker 24/26
                        van der Berg 7/7

Malawi took the lead early in Q2 before SA wrestled it back. Both GSs are dominating, particularly Streutker. Breedt came on at GA midway through the Q but is yet to put up a shot.

                          1/4 time: RSA 15-13

                          Mvula 9/10
                          Ngambi 4/5

                          Streutker 9/10
                          van der Berg 6/6

A good game so far with SA just on top. The two teams with contrasting styles. Malawi content to take their time waiting for an opening with SA takes a more direct route.
