in reply to: 2022 QUAD SERIES (Jan) – Eng/Aus/NZ/SA #1335945
I’m hopeful the 12 for tomorrow will be
Bueta Garbin Wood Dwyer(simply for maybe 5 minutes depending on the score or getting to be on the bench since I cant see Koenan going on, the English defence were really rough but she did get bodied a lot)
Watson Hadley Braz Price
Klau Bruce Weston (Turner/Aryang, I dont think this matters as much since I can see the other three being used the most)As for CWG I can see someone like Rav or Browne taking the fourth midcourt spot and I think form will depend on who is chosen out of Koenan and Austin and Turner and Aryang for those last circle spots.
I wouldve said Glasgow for that fourth spot a few weeks ago but I think Garbin has shown what she can do as a specialist GS(I still really rate Glasgow as a moving shooter). My picks would be
Bueta, Garbin, Koenan, Wood
Hadley, Proud, Price, Parmenter
Aryang, Bruce, Klau, WestonId have Cbass, Glasgow and Dwan in the squad, Dwyer is still very green and will no doubt learn a lot over the next few seasons.
Midcourters who could be in the squad for me are Browne, Rav, Moloney and Braz. The defenders in the wider squad would be Brandley, should she want to play internationally and Turner. Its crazy to think that Australia still has Austin and Watson to come back before CWG(if they go ahead). Its very exciting, hopefully Stacey can put in the right people and game plan.
I agree re:short pass rule Alex, it would be nice if it required a bit more distance but it did need to be black and white.
As for the SS, of course she likes it😪 honestly I hope we get some international netball this year just so I can watch the Aussie girls playing without the SS.
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 9 #1327767Amen Morts, let’s hope Stacey sees that…
The SS really pulled Fever into that as well as some good defence and clutch shootingin reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 9 #1327748Housby is playing amazing this game and Hadley’s experience is holding them in good stead but Im most impressed by Fraser and Garbin.
in reply to: Team lists – Maddy Proud back this week #1325506Maybe they’ll go Hadley in WD for a change up and bring TayFray on at C or WA? Still is a shame to not have Emily bc she played quite well on Browne who has been playing well this year. Im not sure if Nat is carrying injuries but she doesn’t add much to the squad atm.
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1325493Wow a lot of Giant hate… Fever are no angels either and they looked like winning the GF last year…
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1325372Does anyone else think Moloney would be a great international WD? She started off there and would have combinations with Weston and Watson but not have to feed. Shes a great linking player so our transitions would be better imo. Id give the C to a confident feeder who is steady and can deliver defensively aka Proud or Hadley.
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1325273Honestly if the diamonds are coming from these two teams then we will be whistled out of international games. Anstiss and Charles have always been niggly, its funny that they don’t like it when it’s on the other foot.
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1325233What a round, not sure how to wind down now
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1325030I just love watching Fraser, she takes the most of every opportunity. Also loving the Housby that has turned up to this game
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1325023Can we pleeease play Fraser
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1324981Al_ex I agree and to think they let Glasgow go is a head scratcher. If I were them I’d have Horjus as a middie and use the space for Nyah Allen to come in.
in reply to: 2021 SSN ROUND 5 #1324908The SS just needs to go, if SSN wants to have the best netball then the rules need to be internationally aligned, otherwise why would internationals want to play here? Why would young aussie prospects want to develop here?
