in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 10 #1342623
@RMB – to be honest – I think the 3 they have that play C and/or WD are all better than her – Lokotui, Gordon, Pedersen, and at Magic would prefer to see Edgecombe in WD
but in saying all that, I really hope Magic can step up for the full 60 tonight (and no stupid coaching errors) it really should be a doozy with really good match ups right through the court
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 10 #1342621@RMB the only name I’ve heard is Kersten, but not 100% sure
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 10 #1342580apparently there’s a few big names that are working at breaking their contracts for next year due to the totally toxic nature/culture of the higher ups in the Magic, won’t take any suggestions/recommendations from anyone (yep, the same ones that keep appointing the coaches…)
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 10 #1342346Magic seriously need to get rid of the bloody coach

Steelin reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 9 #1342049I”m not sure if it’s been mentioned but can’t remember reading anything on it – but can I just point out that Stars were down by 6 when Malesala came on, and only lost by 3, so the 23 minutes she was on – Stars actually scored more goals… and against what would be the Mystics top defensive lineup… all by taking off the SF’s main shooter for the past year or two…

Steel – 1in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 8 #1341560she specifically said she didn’t want to be a one trick pony, as long as she doesn’t go the other way and move round too much when the hold is definitely her biggest strength. and maybe if she is moving a bit more and getting the ball a little further out, she may start to have confidence to start putting up slightly longer shots (I mean if the likes of HUme can rebound her own longer shots over taller D then Grace should have a big advantage in that
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 8 #1341526@JR she missed one due to covid, and the 4 weeks is due to postponements
Ameliarannes IG had her in bop yesterday so not sure, maybe a niggle?
They’ve tried sam at wa a few times in the past and while she’s not bad, it’s far from a strength, but it would be interesting to see Kersten there, though they do have ACD tonight who is an actual WA

in reply to: 2022 SSN ROUND 7 #1341394@schmeetle I was coming to say exactly the same thing – she cried a river when covid hit because her benchies didn’t have experience – and now she has a bloody good opportunity to she still doesn’t – very poor coaching ethic
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 8 #1341257I think one strength of having Nweke in GS is if you have a strong GA who isn’t afraid of putting the shots up then it’s a win win – either they double team her and the GA has free reign (and is there for rebounding – not only rebounding but at the height a bloody good bonus!!), or it’s one on one which is where she is at her strongest
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 8 #1341140@JR exactly – the schedule has never made a lot of sense – especially this year
if they’d done it that way, with the left over time they could’ve had a fast 5 comp – would love to see that – would definetely show fitness levels, and willingness of the shooters to shoot
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 8 #1341131@RMB they should’ve made the early call to just play 1 home, 1 away for each match up – would’ve given plenty of time to reschedule any matches without squeezing them in
in reply to: 2022 ANZP ROUND 8 #1341128Steel vs Tactix has been pushed out by 3 days to Wednesday 4th May
