I can’t copy and paste in here, but Ian look up the TV 1 News for NZ, it says why Bailey’s retiring.
Yup Wewood, we’ll all be watching, no doubt get emotional but hey at least she’s leaving on a great season and on her terms 🙂

Heck of a shock, had a inkling it was on the cards but thought after WC. Anyway she’s done us as a family, damn proud, even thru the hair raising, swearing at the TV times. Bayes has done it her way now, good on her.

Yep, just because they’re elite athletes, ppls think they own then and have a right to know what’s happening. I’ve been following the Jock story MKR, public demanding to know what he died from, assuming it was suicide. Some things need to be kept private.
Hope whatever Monica’s going through, she’s OK and got a good support network around her.

Maryann you obviously know Bailey very well as you’re 100% correct. She wants nothing but for the Silver Ferns to win, at any cost, even her own.
She’ll never let on to anyone even her closet family what her intentions are. As for not making herself available, yeah I mentioned it but whose going to believe me, I know Noel’s tried talking her out of it.
I’m still very much on the fence re her selection as know the competition is damn tough and know obviously how quick the public can turn. Team pickings will be interesting, don’t envy Noel’s.
