MIP: Latanya Wilson. Leaps and bounds ahead
Most underrated. Alice TN from fever. Quietly achieving stats even the seasoned WAs would be proud of
Toughest competitor: Georgie Horjus. Nothing phases her. Bruce pulling a long lean? No probs…
Highlight: FEVER PREMIERSHIP!!!
Lowlight: Wallace ACL
Personality: Tilly McDonaldin reply to: 2022 Test Series – Australia v England (Oct/Nov) #1352186Kiera Austin looking limpy with ice strapped to knee post captain’s run today. Not a great sign with limited GAs…
in reply to: 2022 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1351476I love a moving circle. I also love Wood and Koenan on their day. I love that SM gave them a chance to play again and nut out some issues. I love when others get to shine because of good news (pregnancy) rather than injury.
However, what happens with a moving circle, especially against a team using a holding shooter, is that you lose that ability to score QUICKLY. Australia need Garbin (and soon Wallam) to be able to start or enter a game and put those quick goals out, even if just to catch up! We missed that incredibly…. Bassett was never my favourite player (short netballer jealousy right here) but you could make a cup of tea and return to watching a game and she’d have slotted in a few in a row to even things up… Call me ignorant but I didn’t realise Bueta would do that so well as Gs at Comm games. We don’t necessarily need Bueta, and we can’t have her, but we need a quick score. The baseline runnings and circle plus are pretty but too slow at this level when they can ditch it to Nweke from mid court and score in three passes.
in reply to: 2022 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1350859Do Australia elevate another diamond to take on tour now Bueta is out? Or do they have a big enough squad they don’t need to do that?
I’d love to see Australia hold on. Wood is definitely relying on smarts now, she looks knackered.
in reply to: 2022 Commonwealth Games – Day 2 (Jul 30) #1348012Chimaliro is just so much busier. Making england think and guess where the feed is. I didn’t dislike kumwenda as Ga per se but it’s just opened up now they’ve taken her off and you can see some really lovely passages
in reply to: 2022 Commonwealth Games – Day 2 (Jul 30) #1348003Braz’s feeds were great, so were Austin’s. Something a little different too. Thought Moloney hesitated a bit to feed Koenan and then totally got in the vibe before the switch. Good to have a few connections tested at at this stage

I can’t find a link to the article but The West Australian newspaper reported today that out of 1200 Covid tests on the athletes in the village, about a dozen test positive every day! But there are no general rules against playing as long as you are cleared to play by medical staff!!!
in reply to: 2022 Cadbury Series #1347348Yes this was what happened previously but I know Stacey Marinkovitch hinted it may be different under the new Covid rules. And since she hinted, there haven’t been any obvious further updates I have seen. Did I miss an official update?
I don’t know who, but I reckon firebirds will be hoping they have the signature of a big international name… Hence why Jenner was probably told that she wouldn’t still have a starting bib. So she probably figured bench at fever would be better and give new opportunities (learning wd) than bench at birds?
Agree with the Cosh comment!
Wondering why a coach didn’t get a say in this decision about Mimi? I know these things are time sensitive but seems a coach would like t have some input?
in reply to: 2022 Australian Netball Championships (Aug) #1346337I’ve asked something similar before but never really had a good answer!
in reply to: 2022 NS FANTASY NETBALL – SSN #1345176Ooh you pipped me this last week Ian!
in reply to: CWG Diamonds Squad #1345175I remember but Stacey hinted it would be different this year with Covid…
