Nope I wouldn’t be confident in Horjus running out at GA for the whole season. They need someone with more height for once she gets worked out and shut down (which she will because she’s still relatively inexperienced at GA at this level).
We also don’t need Kelsey Browne, love her but we need someone with more positional flexibility, especially if we’re recruiting a GS/GA who can’t swing to WA.
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1366556If I were Thunderbirds I’d be considering Cosh as a potential replacement for Dwan. She’s similar to Nyah Allen but more experienced and can swing to WA.
in reply to: 2023 Constellation Cup (Oct) #1366134Is Proud in the squad? If Hadley is out I wouldn’t mind seeing her get a go.
in reply to: ANPA / NA negotiations break down #1366068The ANPA post on Instagram was interesting, was a response to what they call ‘misleading’ information from NA.
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1366045If Dwan has a strong season, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bueta at GS and Dwan at GA in 2025. Dwan is considerably younger than Wallam and a future Diamond. They would want to keep her
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1366040I think Dwan has confirmed her departure with Code but i cant see the article.
Will be interesting to see what happens once Bueta returns.in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1366014I question whether the location of the team is a major contributor? Is it also the coaching staff?
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1366008If Dwan leaves, Thunderbirds will be bottom of that ladder again ????????♀️

in reply to: ANPA / NA negotiations break down #1365996I feel like, for once, ANPA is being unreasonable. We have so much uncertainty in the next few years, and I get that they want to set a standard early in the league’s growth for what share they receive of different things but the reality is that until this 3 year deal runs it’s course and shows that the league is profitable and sustainable, they’re gonna have to agree to something that’s realistic.
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1365412I’m so disappointed that Cardwell had left Adelaide, thought she’d liked it enough to try for back-to-back titles 🙁
If it’s between Nelson and Wallam I’d hope for Nelson, she’s younger and it feels like she’d be more likely to stick around in Adelaide long-term. And we do have to think long-term because this interchange in the Thunderbirds attack end is not sustainable.
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1365381From Facebook, the structure for salaries will be 5 bands, 2 players in each.
E.g., for Lightning it could be:
Band 1: Wood, Watson
Band 2: Bruce, Koenen
Band 3: Cassidy, Hinchcliffe
Band 4: Batcheldor, Mi Mi
Band 5: Black, Ervinin reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1365248I’m sure Thunderbirds would do everything in their power to keep Dwan and Cardwell but I think it was always going to happen once Dwan’s partner chose not to transfer over to Adl and then bought a house with her back home. Was just a matter of time.
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1365246Thunderbirds attack rebuilding, yet again…
in reply to: 2024 SSN SIGNING AND TEAM NEWS #1365055To the contrary, I think the team looks very Victorian, even Queen Victoria might pop out for a match
