      https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/women-in-sport/300385036/so-long-ameliaranne-ekenasio-but-no-thanks-for-the-memories

The comments in this article have plenty of speculation or it might be fact that Damien Ekenasio has some form of contract with basketball in Melbourne!

FYI Ama Agbeze is also there, not saying very much. I wonder if she’s come with the team and quarantined specifically as a commentator, but perhaps also as a mentor? Or assistant coach??

Ama has been in NZ for at least a month. From memory she married a Kiwi so it may be a more permanent move?

            From an article in August

Israel Folau inspires Catalans win but nearly missed Castleford clash
“He was great today but his wife is due to give birth any time now and he nearly didn’t get on the plane,” says Dragons coach Steve McNamara

But our training regime meant that at times we were at the club from 7.30 am until 2pm

I thought a major part of the players agreement was that certain hours (10-4?) were protected so that the players could study or work? Does anyone know?

I really hope that Bassett didn’t feel left out or like she didn’t belong because that is a horrendous and suffocating feeling to have in a team.

Tully – listen to CBass on the Inner Circle Podcast and she definitely gives that impression! Seems she spent more time with the Lightning girls than Giants. I remember when Harten, Guthrie and Housby moved to Sydney at the same time there were never any pictures of them catching up which seemed odd that Roses on the other side of the world weren’t supporting each other. It was always Housby that seemed excluded which fitted with their on court chemistry for the first few years they played together for England.

On the latest Inner Circle Podcast Bianca Chatfield raised interesting points about Collingwood and their future plans.

Apparently all the Super Netball licences were given for a 5 year period so they all only have one year to go. Her point, from memory, was would Collingwood go all out to win in the final year and if they don’t they give netball away, especially as they have their “female” presence with the AFLW team?

The choice of new coach may show what their intentions are. If they give the job to someone inexperienced (cheap) and don’t recruit anyone in the “expensive” range of players does this indicate they just want to get through the next year by minimising their spending and then it’s all over?

Any chance someone has done a ladder with no super shot but with the bonus points for quarters won?

Jabes above has summed up my feelings and wish list perfectly.

I now visit approx twice a week instead of daily due to difficulty in navigating.

Will happily make further donations to get these features back. I love this forum and have missed the traffic. Would love to see it back to it’s best!
