Sophie Garbin deserves to be a starting goal shooter. As much as I love her at the swifts, hopefully a team like collingwood or the thunderbirds pick her up to be their shooter next year

I thought with Fisher out the magic could easily win this but that was just embarrassing. Next year keep Winders, Williams, Fowler and Tong and overhaul the rest. I really feel for Winders she’s such a brilliant player and captain who always gives her all and unfortunately has been apart of an under performing team for the past couple years

Few weeks ago I would have had Metuarau in the development squad but now I can see her in the ferns, really stepped up tonight in the absence of Fisher

Next year I hope the thunderbirds get rid of potgieter and go for someone like Sophie Garbin or Donnell Wallam (even though I think she will still be contracted to Leeds next year). If it sticks to squads of 10 the shooters I would have for the tbirds is Horjus, Garbin and Lucy Austin

I understand what they were trying to do with having Housby on Sterling but I’ve been dying to see Garbin in GS this year and I don’t think we’ve seen it once

I feel Nweke is not quite ready for the ferns yet but I’d love to see Dunn back in there, hopefully she passes the fitness standard
I personally would have Wilson, Hume, Dunn and TPSR for the ferns shooters

I think next year the vixens should drop Stanton and demote Barkmeyer to a training partner so she can play some more VNL, she will be good but probably elevated a year or two too early. Surely Samason gets a contract next year and that final shooting spot should go to more of a specialist ga like Sacha McDonald or Nyah Allen
