in reply to: 2024 Australian Netball Awards #1381393
Frew or Mi Mi for Rookie of the Year!
What other awards are there?
in reply to: 2024 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1381375I don’t think Walters would win Rookie of the Year – she only played 8 games. My guess would be Mi Mi or Frew
in reply to: 2024 Fast5 Netball World Series #1381152Thanks!
Considering Jok wasn’t Fowlers replacement in the Horizon Series, I think something’s definitely up
in reply to: 2024 Fast5 Netball World Series #1381146Can you rewind and watch games you’ve missed? Or do you have to wait until the whole series is done to do that
in reply to: 2024 CONSTELLATION CUP – AUS v NZ (October) #1380652I’m dying to see Horjus get a call up. I think I’d drop Moloney for her. I know they’re not like-for-like but with Aryang and JLP both doing better at WD, I don’t think she’s needed. Ellis in for Klau as well
in reply to: 2024 CONSTELLATION CUP – AUS v NZ (October) #1380319I feel like GA is becoming the most important position on court for every country. It seems like the position countries are least likely to risk a change in. Austin, Housby and Eke basically played every minute of the recent games there and it was noticeable when they were off
in reply to: 2024 Fast5 Netball World Series #1379636How can we watch this in Australia? Is it on Kayo? I can’t remember if it was last year
in reply to: Australian Diamonds Squad 2024/25 #1379266Surely Horjus would get a call up for the first test being that she’s in the squad and the first game is in Adelaide. That would be amazing for her
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1378621Fever usually have a defence-heavy team from memory. In 2023 they had Bruce, Ellis, Jenner and Aryang and before Jenner, there was Francis-Bayman. They never really rotated this well, but Dan Ryan has been much better at rotations this year so he might have turned over a new leaf
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1378608Graham wasn’t even on my radar for Tbirds. 5 shooters doesn’t make sense to me unless they’re going to elevate a true middie as their 11th player and use that system more regularly. If Williams is going to be the 2IC in WA, it would have made more sense to elevate Sophie Casey a C/WD for more C coverage. Perhaps they’re planning ahead for 2026 when Aitken-George is likely to have retired, who knows
Mavericks haven’t announced their 10th but likely to be Nankivell
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1377950Personally I’d prefer Tbirds began developing another WA instead of bringing someone in who’s nearing the end of their career. I think their current midcourt have enough experience now to carry someone fresh and help them grow
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1377805I think LGB is a good replacement for either of them but not the right fit when you already have both Proud and Hadley. I think they’re all very similar. Maybe they’d pick her as their 11th?
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1377803Heffernan would be a great pick up by Swifts I think. She’s one of my favourites for Ferns. Great height and speed and relatively clean from memory which Swifts need in the defensive end. Plus a good defensive C option they don’t really have right now
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1377790Orr is a C/WA and it looked like Williams was giving WA a go towards the end of the season so I think Tbirds would still be well covered in that position
in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1377198I remember hearing somewhere that only Nankivell and Sinclair were on one year contracts
