Wonder if she will also be named Stars captain for 2022.

I’m watching it on Skynow in NZ and they don’t have the score or time on screen?

I wondered if Mason being on managed court time was due to NNL eligibility – if you played too much ANZ, you weren’t able to play NNL and the Pulse would’ve been able to use other players.

That’s my thinking around how often Tui was left on the Mystics bench but was carving it up for the Northern Marvels (or Comets, I get them mixed up).

I wonder why Stars didn’t take Burley back, but I won’t be complaining if we see Kayla Johnson with the Stars. :yahoo:

@sarahlove I think she’s the Tui replacement (Mystics dropped the 4th shooter in favour of a 4th middie).

Very bold of the Pulse…glad Ekenasio made the call to move on to a place that showed her more respect.

@al_ex – it might be easier to say who SHOULDN’T move to Australia and play SSN B-)

I wonder if Poi has been given some specific points to work on and there hasn’t been any growth?

Also forgot to mention earlier that Hume’s call up is a reflection of the hard work and improvement in her game during the 2021 season. She’s one who was a bit guilty of low percentages and being too relaxed on court – her game has matured a lot and I’ve really been impressed at how she stepped up when Maia’s shooting game fell away.

Anna Harrison hasn’t re-signed with the Stars yet, has she? Could be a slot open – I would welcome Cullen back with open arms.

Surprising to see Temu over Maihi in the development squad. Agree with others that it was strange to see Poi dropped and Kersten retained. Personally I would have also dropped Gordon.

Lovely to see Peta being rewarded with a call up. Also stoked Heffernan is in the mix. Lots to be excited about :yahoo:

What’s with wanting to see players in SSN? That’s what internationals are for… B-)

Hear hear about Cat Latu – a brilliant tricky player who didn’t get the opportunity to showcase her skill on the international stage. It was crazy the commentary about her weight while she was with the Mystics. :negative:

Mason was on managed court time, not sure if it was because there are rules about playing in the next tier down or if there were other reasons for like injury.

I also wondered if it was the same for Tui to stay eligible for the Northern Marvels.

This Aucklander won’t be attending – much prefer Trusts or Bruce Pulman. When you’re up in the nose bleeds at Spark it makes me feel sick with the weird perspective.

Nicely said NB12 – CBass was phenomenal (and dare I say, unstoppable) in her prime. Unfortunately time and injuries are not on her side and I would rather see the shooting spot opened up in 2022 to allow a developing NZ shooter to come up the ranks (Tui, Williams, Malesala) or at least an older head to mentor the new ones through (would love to see Kate Grant more regularly).
