Interesting Tully!
I’m from South Australia and have never seen Kayla Graham play WA. I was shocked that when she was signed to play for Tbirds they listed her as a WA.in reply to: 2025 SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL #1381846Was thinking the same thing. Giants would have 100% been banking on her as most probably their starting WA.
Julie doesn’t often go imports, generally has her favourites in the pipeline. In saying that, not sure who’s next in her picking line, nor the talent in the Giants academy.
I did consider LGB but I don’t think she’s ever been involved in the Giants setup and Swifts have been the only ones interested in her.
Annie Miller is another one, she spent time at the Giants but not sure if she’s Sunshine Coast based still. Not sure who else is out there
in reply to: 2025 NETBALL SUPER LEAGUE #1381351Wonder if she applied for the Steel head coaching role?
in reply to: 2025 ANZ PREMIERSHIP #1381329Dani Binks not sticking around NZ, she’s off to play Premier League netball with Matrics in Australia, Adelaide.
Did the old Jamaican coach step down?
Has anyone in Australia (Adelaide) tried to buy the Netball Pass for these games? Doesn’t seem to work for me
in reply to: 2024 CONSTELLATION CUP – AUS v NZ (October) #1380381Oh yes that was another point I forgot to mention.
I was surprised that Karaka had been a Ferns captain as well as Mystics with the way she spoke.

in reply to: 2024 CONSTELLATION CUP – AUS v NZ (October) #1380341Didn’t know where to put this – podcast with Phoenix Karaka on “PlayOn Sports Show”
I didn’t like at all. Says a lot about the Ferns environment in my opinion.Firstly, she said Kelly Jackson, oh wait, Kelly Johnson – she got married.
Then was talking about COB and said “COB – what’s her name” and had to think about it before she said “Claire OBrien”
Then they asked her about players in the squad for CC and she couldn’t answer the question. I’m not sure if this is poor memory, perhaps squad was just announced, or lack of connection with the squad.
I thought about it if it was an Aussie player being interviewed and don’t think we’d see the same answers. Then there was mention of the Ferns washing their own dresses and only getting two dresses per season (Ferns). I wonder how this compares to Aussie’s?
Lastly she made comment about how Australia is bigger and bigger and better facilities hence being better. I understand, but what is NNZ doing to improve.
Sorry if I’m coming across negative or bagging the Ferns, but all things that first came to my mind upon listening.
in reply to: A bit about yourself #1380178From Adelaide, Australia. As my name suggests, Thunderbirds supporter, but more of a netball supporter as a whole. A few long years of being a Tbirds supporter at the start of SSN!
Love watching the ANZP, enjoy the traditional Netball and the broadcast presentation that NZ puts on!in reply to: 2024 CONSTELLATION CUP – AUS v NZ (October) #1380159Peta in the photo COB uploaded to her insta story.
No player of the series announced, Jackson got player of the game.
mcleod- I thought the exact same thing. Lots of frowns on their faces in the presentations.
So Noels has said they can only take 12 to Aus.
Wonder if Karaka will be available? If so, surely Mikaere misses.
Wonder if an “underdone” Souness makes the cut, or does Poi miss out?Karaka and Watson would’ve helped to challenge Jackson and Burger/Mason.
No disrespect to Mikaere, but Jackson’s spot is secure there.
Which one of the Ferns will drop out of the 12 tomorrow?
