Yeah I thought 15 seemed too low. They’ve obviously counted Aiken and Harten as Australians because they have Aus citizenship. Mentor might as well?

what does Kate Burley need to do to get a run? I cannot for the life of me understand how Lokotui was picked over her…

I don’t understand why Lightning signed Hinchliffe who won’t be available for probably most of next season, but didn’t sign Ash Unie on the basis of she is still recovering from ACL injury although she should be good to go come Round 1. Unie also provides them much needed WD cover….

So excited to see Batcheldor sign with Lightning! She is so talented. The game has played the other week against Vicki Wilson’s Lightning development side must have secured her a contract.

Sorry but Jury is not the answer at GK and especially not at GD. I want to know why Kate Burley wasn’t picked?

I thought Teeps and Maia were good in attack and I love Saunders in WA.

How smart is Drakeford-Lewis! Guscoth is incredible for England.

Plenty of people jumping to conclusions…. the only conclusions I have come to is Jury is not a GD and Crampton is soooo needed at WA!!

Nweke will grow from this, Toeava as well.

There’s no way Garbin would have signed if both Nelson and Sinclair are returning. She just wouldn’t have a moved to a new club unless she was assured a starting spot. I hope they’ve chosen Garbin over Nelson.

Rapt for Maggie Lind, well deserved.

Queensland Sapphires absolutely whooped the Sunshine Coast Lightning team 69-37 (who consisted of many of their training partners – Annabelle Lawrie, Maddie Hinchliffe, Annika-lee Jones, Sienna Allen).

I was SO impressed by the Sapphires shooting pairing of GS Reilley Batcheldor and GA Mia Stower. Batcheldor in particular was outstanding. Moves a lot like Cara Koenen but can shoot long as well, a joy to watch. Vicki Wilson was the coach of the Lightning team and would HAVE to be impressed – possibly could get a call up into the Lightning 10. Well and truly ready. Leesa Mi Mi was also electric at WA. Blakewell-Doran at GD and Hulita Veve at WD also probably had about 6 intercepts each. I really hope both get an opportunity with the Firebirds in 2022.

For the Lightning Annika Lee Jones played GS and struggled. Annie Lawrie was good and shot well but just didn’t do enough work up the court. Sienna Allen was very slow in her cameo on the court.

I reckon Wallam will still go to Fever. ATN back to Melb I reckon.

Fever will then have Fowler, Wallam, Glasgow and then Cosh can be WA/GA. Plenty of cover

I would have loved to see Manu’a come on earlier, I thought she had good impact when she came on. Brandley was very quiet.

The others have all been in SSN finals. So will need a break after the season. Geva has already been on break for a few weeks.

Oceane Maihi is very comfortable at GD. I don’t think Magic will have any issues there and it will be so good to see her on court. Just a very big hole to fill at WA…

Loving that there is so much player movement this year! I really didn’t expect Kersten to move. I wonder which way they will play her and Sammy Winders. They’ll provide some good rotation through C/WD.
