The NSL uses the soccer points system (3 for a win, 1 for a draw). But the reason soccer brought in that points system was to entice attacking play and stop teams playing for a draw. And that’s not really a problem in netball. Dragons and Mavs are penalised unfairly I think.
I think it’s the same system used by the national league.
It won’t make a difference unless one or both of those teams happen to have another draw. But that’s a possibility. And if that happens, you’ll have 1 win being worth more than 2 draws, and I don’t think that’s right. Like I said, the points system works well in soccer, but I don’t think it translates well to netball.
