Tuivaiti has captured what this confused/at times, angry, Ferns supporter has struggled to put into words since 2019.

Feels like we have the pieces to a world class side but we’re not aligned on what puzzle we’re trying to make..

I feel game plan and personnel are issues for us hand-in-hand.

Would be intrigued to hear from Aussie forumers to hear your thoughts from afar?

Great write up from Cath Tuivaiti. Agreed with all her points made.

I know I harp on this a lot, but it baffles me that there are players at this level that can’t hit 16.2 in a yo-yo test 🤷‍♂️ And some of these players are still quite young too.
Anna Stanley spoke on this on Inside Netball, questioning why these young ones aren’t able to push themselves? She was referring to Tui and Salmon. Did Carys Stythe fail it too?

Peta Toeava is an interesting one. IMO she should 100% be in the Ferns and be the starting WA. I’m not saying fitness standards shouldn’t apply to her (every player needs to be fit period). But I do wonder what she’s hitting in these tests? Is it that bad? No one else in NZ has the skill set, vision and power that she has.
