      It’s commendable that Nweke wants to extend herself. There’s also the off court aspect to consider, moving away from family to a foreign city, taking her away from the comfort of the Mystics. I like this alot. Also, the chance to play against Stirling and Bruce more regularly will help to eliminate that intimidation factor when she comes up against them in test matches. Towards the end of the season it looked like Grace had slipped into some lazy habits – holding on the base line and not giving herself enough room. She got exposed a few times against Jury doing this, but on the whole, she can get away with this in the ANZ. She won’t in SSN. And I suspect Akle will get that sorted immediately.

      There’s also the umpiring adjustment. In the international arena she can get called for using her elbows and pushing off. This will be umpired out of her game with time in the SSN.

      This is a positive move for everyone concerned IMO.

        It is a pleasure to listen to Sulu in commentary. Her insights are intelligent and she delivers them eloquently. Which is not always the case with ex NZ players who become commentators.
