                Would they have started her (Ellis) against a Lightning attack? I feel Weston/Mannix is a better matchup.
                Though as a unit, with Ellis, they’ve worked fantastic together.

                  I think Ellis would have started, especially given her form and Eddy and Walters still being out.

                  In saying that I agree that Weston / Mannix lines up better against Koenen / Fretwell given Koenen’s footwork and the need to shut down the shooter to shooter work. Ellis has taken all her opportunities and it’s wonderful to see her flourish.

                  I really like Lambden as a player. Always have. Just one of those unlucky players that always seem to get injured or be behind someone. Definitely an SSN level player so hopefully she gets the start and gives it a red hot crack.

                    Vixens v Lightning in R6 was that game where McKinnis had the crazy idea to play Ellis at WD in the first half. And it’s so far Vixens’ only loss of the season.

                        Tbirds certainly had the better of the first Q, perhaps not taking advantage as they could have. Romelda is suffering a bit from the yips. So far it hasn’t really cost them though.

                        Gains: THU 5-3
                        Penalties: GIA 21-7

                          1/2 time: Tbirds 30-20

                          Too many errors and penalties from Giants at this stage. They only put 8 on the board in that 2nd Q while Tbirds scored 14. The NNP at this stage is 269 to 76 in Tbirds’ favour!

                            I don’t like this Horjus into GA change up. I think they look far better with Frew in at GA, Horjus and Scherian combo just doesn’t quite fire as well.

                                  Full time: Tbirds 57-42

                                  A convincing win for Tbirds. Giants ended with 31 general play turnovers, and that’s not going to get it done. Tbirds weren’t perfect in attack, but their defence was just too good and picked up ball regularly. POTM was Latanya Wilson
