      I’d bring Ekanasio off personally

Ferns were leading by 6 and three soft turnovers and it’s just a one goal lead going into the last 15 minutes – 47-46.

        We’re looking tired IMO.

If Ferns had a moving shooting circle it would be so much better. The Tui/Ekenasio circle would be a treat but alas no/

            3/4 time: NZ 47-46

            Nweke 37/39 (95%)
            Ekenasio 10/11 (91%)

            Tchine 32/33 (97%)
            Housby 14/17 (82%)

            Gains: NZ 9-5
            Penalties: NZ 36-31
            Turnovers: NZ 14-12

Another 3rd Q lost by NZ and the Roses charge back to close the gap. Which way will this go?

COB is having a good game I think especially the way she is hitting the circle edge

Housby’s reluctance to shoot is so uncharacteristic and it might just lose her country the game. She’s just so spooked by Jackson. Shoot the ball Helen!!!!

Interesting to see Jackson is wearing the captain’s patch despite Ekenasio having been on court for the whole game. I missed the pre-game, is Eke not captain today?

A blazing 10-3 start to the last quarter from the Silver Ferns and they’ve blown the lead out to 8 goals. Gains now stand at 12-5 in NZ’s favour. NZ 57-49

Jess Shaw is on at WA, Liv Tchine off. Lois Pearson has moved to GA and Helen Housby to GS. NZ 59-55

Well that was better at times, look what happens when the same 7 players play 60min.
Considering COB was apparently only playing because Souness had a injury, she did a very good job.

I think they both were wearing captains badges

NZ wins 61-56 and avoids a clean sweep. They stuck solid with the starting 7 throughout and pulled away in the last Q for a good win.

Congrats to England on a 2-1 series win!

Wow England could have won that game if they had started and played Williams and Fudoju at defence. Quashi was totally ineffective against Nweke, yet left on for the whole first half. I think we also saw Housby running out of gas from playing nearly the whole series. Some crucial errors by them in the 4th quarter too.

Anyway good effort by Jackson on defence. Burger was too costly on defence.

Even with that win surely Taurua’s job must be on the line if the ferns lose the Aussie series. Of course the nz media will be acting like nz took out the series with that win.

What a difference Jackson made when she got her hands up every time. Mason always gives 100% – she was exhausted. Happy to have O’Brien out there tonight too. Also makes a difference when the shooters put the ball through the hoop first attempt.

Now for the Diamonds! Hope the Ferns up their fitness and mental strength, and accuracy for that series.

So Noels has said they can only take 12 to Aus.
Wonder if Karaka will be available? If so, surely Mikaere misses.
Wonder if an “underdone” Souness makes the cut, or does Poi miss out?
