I’m pleased Taurua has stuck with the core group of players for TJ and Constellation Cup.

I personally wanted to see the midcourt start racking up their experience and test caps.

Savior Tui in the NZA was a surprise.

So Toeava is not fit enough, well that’s poor from her.

Nolene must really dislike Dunn. Our best shooter from outside the circle over the last two Fast Five tournaments and she doesn’t get a look in this time? Kimi who is one of the quickest and fittest made for Fast Five players around and was captain last year and this year has been relegated to a 3 day camp and a warm up game against a C grade English roses team?

Dunn is a great Fast 5 player, but no lets take a non shooting Metuarau and Nweke who’s game is not suited to fast 5 one bit.
Poi is really paying the price for winning the Con Cup in 2021, would have been far better running in circles and not passing the ball to the shooters.
Noel’s and her fav’s strikes again.

Be interesting to know the reasons for Dunn’s omission. One of NZ’s most successful shooters in the ANZ league. Don’t really know what she can do if Taurua is continually overlooking her. I would have thought after the lack of medals at the World Cup Taurua may have changed her selection criteria. Hard to gauge the Ferns in the England series. It’s clearly going to be a whitewash and not many learnings will be able to be taken from that.

Maybe NNZ might have to rethink the timing of these post season series especially after a World Cup. Clearly the other countries aren’t interested in sending full strength teams over just so the Ferns can have some international practice. The reasons are obvious with so many of the top line Roses playing in the SSN.

Um I only make it 2 England players in the SSN. Housby and Cardwell.
And international Netball may as well curl up and die, if it’s going to end up club over country.

I like the new dress. Ekenasio looks great.

NZ is continually getting the short end of the stick regarding SSN players and availability. JAM, Roses and Swifts who said their Stars were all sick for the pre-season match.

Respectfully the Diamonds however always play to win.

The Swifts had a covid outbreak in the series you are referring to. So yes they were sick.

England only has two SSN players as already mentioned in this thread. Used to be 3 with Mentor.
