Geva Mentor is set to play in the UK Superleague next year.

Geva is an Australian citizen isn’t she? So there wouldn’t be any visa issues on her part driving this. Understand that’s probably the case for other imports though and hope the playing deal is sorted soon.

It’s probably a good move for her personally (her partner lives in France, I believe?) and opens up another GK spot here. Wish her all the best and thank her for what she’s done for Australian netball.

Geva – as always, pure class. Here’s hoping she’s got a great contract ahead and can continue inspiring players and exciting audiences for years to come.

As much as she might have wanted to stay in SSN, I’m sure she’s going to be so helpful in developing the next Roses defenders back in England especially now she’s retiring from international netball

“ The Super Netball signing window will remain closed until the end of the World Cup after further hold-ups in awarding the competition’s eighth licence.

Netball Australia is understood to have advised clubs on Monday night it would not open the signing window until at least August 7 — just hours after the World Cup final in South Africa — after the ambitious time frame it set for the naming of the eighth team was not met.”

Does the fact that the 8th licence isn’t until January 2024 impact on the recruitment of players, apart from the fact that a CPA has not yet been settled?
