Mavericks made a post along the lines of having offered Palavi a SSN debut this season and it not coming to fruition, and that they looked forward to having her back at the Mavericks. A few comments called it out as being an odd and negative statement (if they have offered it then why hasn’t she been in an a game day squad?) and it appears to have been deleted.

That does seem quite unusual. It’s not like Maverick’s are lacking in the number of shooters in their ranks. I hope that it goes well with Swifts. It would be great for Tonga if she could get a regular contract.

Good to hear Ellis is back.

Love to see Beckford 2/2 in the first 4 minutes- guessing Dan has been working on that with her.

Shearer reminds me of Amy Steel.

What a game! Good comeback from FBirds. Can they keep this up for the rest of the game.

Not sure what it is about the Fever defence but they’re really struggling to protect against the Super Shot recently- in the last two quarters they’ve played, there’s been 12 scored against them!

                          Wallam playing superbly.

                            1/4 time: 20-20

Well, how about that. For much of the first quarter, it looked like Fever was in total control, but the Firebirds proceeded to score the last 8 goals. Wallam has landed 4 super shots.

                            Gains: FEV 1-0
                            Penalties: FEV 9-8
                            Turnovers: FIR 5-3

Good game at the moment. Fever not having things all their own way. It’s 32-32 as we approach the Power 5 in the 2nd Q.

This might sound silly, but Katie Walker has such good vibes. She radiates calmness, and confidence in her players. Look forward to watching her in huddles.

Once again I find myself saying “just take the one!”.
