I have a few friends at the WC and have ummed and aghed about posting these RUMOURS they have heard in the crowd. I really want to stress they are just rumours or things they have overheard. So please don’t take them as confirmed!

Bruce, ATN and Glasgow looking to move.
Bruce to Lightning (my personal comment here, great for Hinchliffe! Now where does Dehaney go?)
Ward to Giants
Garbin to Swifts
Van Der Berg to Vixens
Fadoju to play SSN

Is there merit to the Dwan rumour or just traction by repetition?

If Dwan does go to FBs though I’d prefer TBirds left Horjus at WA than chase another WA. Horjus’ future is at WA. If the Dwan move plays out then they should bring Nyah Allen back.

I wonder if ATN may be going home to Victoria?

Does the signing window start tomorrow or nothing confirmed yet?

Can it start with no collective agreement signed as yet? I mean how can you offer players a contract when you don’t have a $ amount to put in it. A bit of a farce really and one that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.

For those that don’t have a code sports subscription there is an article on there. Mainly speculation but does include quotes from the manager of Garbin and Lewis.

It does say that all players can now negotiate. Only in principle deals can be done because there is no salary cap and TPA CPA are not finalised. So no contracts can be signed yet.

The Bruce to Lightning rumour is again stated and so is the Ward to Giants link.

Garbin’s manager confirms she is happy in Melbourne and wants to play GS. So they want to see lists but of course that’s difficult as no one can sign! She has offers from both VIC clubs and couple interstate. Same manager says Lewis has interest from a couple but is happy at Vixens and in Melbourne but wants more court time, so again things to play out there.

its reads very much like Garbin wants to know more before making a commitment anywhere whilst Lewis is likely to stay at Vixens but her manager is trying to put court time and perhaps financial pressure on Vixens. My comment would be mate do your job but be careful, if Bruce goes to Lightning then Dehaney is on the market and it is well known she loved playing for McKinnis. Vixens would be stupid to choose Mannix over Lewis.

It would be interesting if Glasgow ends up at the new team with Tracey Neville.

I don’t know how much meaning to read into Fever following Sam Wallace on Instagram, but she would make sense as a Fowler replacement if they need that. And then Garbin back to Swifts.

I hope the Bruce to SCL rumour is true and Hinchliffe stays. I think Hinchliffe is a very promising player and would learn a lot from Bruce. I would also love to see Aryang somewhere new! Seems unlikely to happen at this point but I hope she considers it.

Surely both Elle Temu and Kristiana Manu’a will be wanting to sign for Giants, but they can’t both fit, especially if Giants are signing Ward. Moore could leave? Amy Sligar could join her sister up at SCL?
