I really want to watch Ekenasio so I’ve decided to watch the Steel v Magic game live and record the SSN preview show and games and watch them after. If the Steel v Magic game is a dud I can always turn it off and go to my recordings sooner rather than later.

So much netty, glad I can record the SSN games given there’s so many games on at the same time.

Mikaere and, to a similar extent, Elley both look busy, but when you watch them you realise they take a space but not a purpose (neither are actively attacking the ball or preventing a player from becoming available). They nboth float in no-mans-land.

Magic win by 5 in the end 54 – 49. So Steel get a bonus point.

Great game! Mew in great form. It concerns me that she doesn’t seem to perform at international level but keeps having these Stellar ANZP games and that she might get chosen for the SF again

Amazing game from both Mes and Ekenasio, glad to see them showing their class. If both of them continue this form, I would be taking both to world cup.

Mes had 100% shooting until about 10 mins left in the last quarter, finished on 30/32.

Was a good close game until the last few minutes when Magic decided to get a bit rough and got 3 warnings in that time trying to prevent Steel getting that bonus point!!

Mes can perform at International level, has done it a number of times in the past.
But surely you all know she was used as the rebounder for Maria’s missed shots for years. Horrible coaching.
This combo of Ekenasio/Mes has worked well at Ferns level before.
Coach Noel’s was in the crowd, and no doubt would have been impressed.

                                  Mes gets MVP.
