I’m nowhere near the first to say this, but Swifts are REALLY missing O’Shannassy. Temu wasn’t great today, at least in my opinion, and Turner/Klau were being soundly beaten. They need a meaningful changeup who knows how to not give away silly penalties.

        62-62!

For the second time this round, we’re off to extra time.

Firebirds tried to do a Swifts and couldn’t succeed. They passed the ball around for a long time but it came unstuck and Swifts equalised. Swifts with all the momentum.

Rav with a turnover at the centre pass… I think I have PTSD from her doing that previously haha!

5 minutes left. Swifts up 71-67 and looking in control.

Since the start of the 4th Q when Firebirds led by 8, Swifts have outscored them 26-14.

              Swifts win 77-73!!!

Great comeback from Swifts, they showed good composure when it got tight, but that’s really one that got away for Firebirds.

Firebirds will be disappointed with that loss – they were the better team for the first 3 quarters. Swifts’ experience showed in the extra time.

Can someone please explain to me why Veve hasn’t been playing much at this level until recently? She’s so good!

Swifts were very lucky to get away with that one. I thought the firebirds defence was outstanding.

Unfortunately, Kim Rav gave up 3 turnovers which proved very costly.

Something tells me this will be Rav’s last season

Time out Giants. Vixens lead 10-6. Both attacks struggling a bit with 14 turnovers in 11 minutes.

Em Mannix having a cracking first quarter here.

JFitz just seems to have lost her mojo the last couple of seasons. This Giants team isn’t working. She’s favouring experience over speed and energy, and it’s showing on the scoreboard.

                                  1/4 time: Vixens 16-6

Emily Mannix is on fire!!! 5 gains, 2 intercepts and 5 deflections in the first Q as Vixens take a commanding lead. Giants didn’t score a single goal for the last 6 minutes and 22 seconds. in fact, they only had one attempt in that time!
