      With only 6 teams in the ANZp, we can’t afford for the quality of matches to be so below par.

      To be honest, no team stood out this first round.

          Heffernan said in her post game interview that she picked up an injury in January and is being load managed because of the ‘long season’ ahead.

          Heck, sounds like a major SOS call is needed especially if Saunders is out for an extended period.

            Can’t forget Fifita’s suspension with 11 seconds remaining. That’s four suspensions (incl. Maihi, MSB and Munro-Nanoa) across the first three games. Not the sort of talking point Wylie and co will be wanting..

              37 turnovers by the Steel is reminiscent of the Pulse in the early days of the ANZ Championship. Atrocious.

              Georgia Heffernan had 9 GPT (although I noted Kiera Austin hit double figures against the Mavs yesterday), Christie with 5 in 36 mins and the captain, Kate Heffernan with 4 in a half are the main culprits.

                Now that Salmon has stepped on court for the Steel, I presume that means she can’t play for any other franchise.

                Knowing KHeffernan was on mins restrictions, why didn’t they bring another bench midcourt player into their game day team???

                Tactix weren’t anything special either. Long year for Steel, even with Saunders and OConnell.
