So much held ball being missed by both teams!!
Horjus about to debut at WA. Feels like Diamonds defence have no answer.
Georgie Horjus is on for Liz Watson! NZ 35-29
2 turnovers from Hadley in about a minute.
Third quarter hoodoo for the Ferns has been thrown out!
Lead is blowing out, concerns for the Diamonds re capitalising on turnovers. Aryan should be at GD so I am glad SM has put her on, Klau and ellis combo is not the answer.
If it carries on they may end up down a player.
I am mistaken, Aryang at WD so circle stays the same
This is hard watching from the Diamonds. Goals are just such hard work. Winning ball and turning it over with ridiculous errors.
Unless the umpire called a held ball at the end of the 2nd I am sure that was an Australian centre pass at the start of the 3rd?
3/4 time: NZ 46-35
Garbin 23/25 (92%)
Dwyer 12/16 (75%)Nweke 34/35 (97%)
Ekenasio 12/14 (86%)Gains: NZ 9-6
Penalties: AUS 54-32
Turnovers: AUS 14-11As I suggested at half time, the floodgates opened. The Diamonds have no answer at the moment.
Once again, this score is not a huge surprise to me. I’ve honestly thought for quite a while now that once Grace Nweke got a bit of experience under her belt and Kelly Jackson was given a fair run at GK, the Aussies were going to struggle to beat NZ. Now they’ve got Maddy Gordon as well.
regarding the centre pass issue – the possible held ball was at the end of the first quarter, I rewound at 3/4 time, and Aussie had the last centre pass of the second quarter and failed to score from it
Next year, I think Aus really need a big target GS like Wallam or L Austin. Moving circle works playing against Eng, Not NZ
The kiwis sure blew the third quarter hoodoo out of the water. They won it 18-9!
Cara Koenen is now on for Australia, but nothing is working for them. NZ has stuck solid with their starting 7. NZ 53-39
OMG so proud of our girls! They did it!!! 🙌 🥳 🙌
The Silver Ferns win the Constellation Cup!!!
Full time: NZ 61-43
The long drought in Australia is over for the Ferns! Margins of 14 & 13 in NZ, and incredibly, even more than that in game 3 played in Australia! A totally dominant display from NZ!
