Cobden resorting to the blatant elbows early on 🤨

Austin and Garbin have the ball on a string between each other. Such a good combo.

since England keep doing the lob over pass over the defender, why not put Tchine on at GS?

I’m sorry, but Quashie does not look fit.

              1/2 time: AUS 37-26

              Garbin 24/24 (100%)
              Austin 13/14 (93%)

              Housby 15/15 (100%)
              Pearson 4/5 (80%)

              Gains: AUS 6-2
              Penalties: ENG 25-18
              Turnovers: ENG 14-8

Q2 much like the first. The defensive pressure from Australia told late and Garbin & Austin fully capitalised.

Not sure Williams deserved to get taken off, I thought she was going okay. Joseph (with only 8 feeds in a half at WA) and Cobden coming off might be good changes for England- Cardwell off was a good move.

Aryang is playing so well! Garbin’s passing has been dodgy but her hold and shot have been brilliant, Austin has been great, Price has been applying very good pressure without being stupidly physical.

Maybe some half time changes that Stacey loves Klau/Garrett/Price/Moloney/Watson/Austin/Koenen would be great. Then Watson and Klau can have a break at 3QTR time, swing Austin into WA and Dwyer into GA, then Ellis to debut in GK. Because I’m such a pro coach lol.

England missing Nat Haythornwaite. Need some leadership in the attacking part of the midcourt.

I think Quashie has been poor so far.

What is it with the netball venues and their love of ABBA’s gimme gimme gimme???

I don’t know how to put it, Australia is playing well, but I don’t feel they are doing anything remarkable. England seem to have come out below expectations in this first test.

Australia has stuck to their starting 7. Big changes for the Roses. Liv Tchine is on at GS, Housby moves back to GA and Pearson moves to WA in place of Joseph. Williams has come back on at GK, Allison moves to WD and Carter is on at C. AUS 44-32

Totally agree Flb- Australia aren’t actually playing that well, it’s mostly poor pass placement from England and easily getting the ball to Garbin. If this was Jamaica we’d be losing.

Agree @museboy Quashie does not look fit. She’s had little moments of brilliance, but on a whole has been totally outplayed.
I thought Fran Williams and Fadoju would have started.

Australia just looked a bit flat that third quarter, I’d bring on Moloney and potentially Koenen just to mix things up and get some fresh legs.

Klau is doing a mountain of work.

                                  3/4 time: AUS 52-44

                                  Garbin 38/39 (97%)
                                  Austin 14/15 (93%)

                                  Tchine 12/12 (100%)
                                  Housby 21/21 (100%)

                                  Gains: AUS 9-5
                                  Penalties: AUS 36-32
                                  Turnovers: ENG 20-15

The changes worked and helped England reduce the gap in that Q. Australia also fell off their game slightly.
